  • Cassette tape adapters of this price (a little less than €10 but not too cheap) should be about the same quality as the CSL one I'm showing in this video. There's no need to buy the really expensive ones.
    This video isn't very significant, but as someone trying a cassette adapter for the very first time, I was impressed with the quality (it sounds exactly as if the car had a built-in aux input), so I made a video about it.
    This car is a Volkswagen Passat TDI 4motion station wagon from 2002 (I might have said on Twitter that it's from 2001, but I was wrong). See my video about it: • 2002 Volkswagen Passat...

    Awesome video! I want to get one of these for my 2001 GTI. Love your car btw, I wish we could get that version of the Passat here in the U.S. 😞

    Thank you for this video. I am looking at buying an old car that only has built in cassette player and was wondering whether these adapters are actually worth it. Subscribed!

    Hey I just bought a cassette adapter for my 2000 Honda Civic, I popped it in and it went in fine but it doesn't seem to play anything when I connect it to my phone? Also it refuses to come out when I press eject, help? lol

      Either your cassette player is broken, or your cassette adapter is a dud.

    Why is it only one of my tapes work though ? I have two and only one seems to work which is the first one I bought. And the second is brand new so idk why it's not working any explanation ?

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  Před 6 lety

      I can't know. Maybe your new adapter isn't making good contact, or it has a protective film over the tape head that you need to take off, or the tape's gears are stuck (which aren't actually needed, but they make your cassette player think there really is a tape).

      If nothing is broken, it should work just fine. Adapters like this are designed to work on any compact audio cassette player.

    I was buy this cassete adapter, but when i play music, quality is really bad.. What is problem, how i can fix it?

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  Před 5 lety

      Try adjusting the volume of your phone or other device (it shouldn't be too low, but also not all the way up), and try playing different songs. Or try cleaning the head of the cassette adapter and the head of your cassette player. If the quality is still bad, maybe the adapter is faulty.

    Nice, we only have Toyota Cars in our country. Nice Video!!

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  Před 8 lety

      The only popular Toyota here is the Yaris. The most popular car brand here in Italy is Fiat (of course), but we have all sorts of cars. Most cars over here are much smaller than what they have in the US.

    your car has a CD player there's no need for this

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  Před 7 lety +6

      If I have the music I want to listen to on CD, you're right, but when I don't, this is much quicker than getting a CD-R(W), going to a computer that has a CD burner, choosing the songs you want, and then burning one or more CDs.

  • @hennessy4666
    @hennessy4666 Před 3 lety

    Why do u use that shitty adaptor? ...... I have same configuration as u, and with cd tracks sound quality is very good..... I hope u know cd track sounds wayyyy better as any mp3 or usb

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  Před 3 lety +5

      Yes, original CDs sound better than compressed music files like MP3, but I don't have all of my music on CD, and the quality difference is indistinguishable in a car with the road and engine noise.

    • @hennessy4666
      @hennessy4666 Před 3 lety

      @@TheComputerGuy96 recording a track cd may be tricky cuz if u want to keep quality u must do it at 2-4x writting speed.....i just use an old cd writter and i record all my music on cd s

    • @TheComputerGuy96
      @TheComputerGuy96  Před 3 lety +2

      The burning speed has nothing to do with music quality. Burning at a lower speed is less likely to fail, but the data burned is identical.
      If you are burning MP3 or other compressed/lossy music files, the quality of those files on a CD will be exactly the same.
