I have the skin type as you. I do think the “sponge” side looks more natural. In your last check in it looks even better! I didn’t care for the “balm” version but I will probably give this one a try. 012 will work for me because I typically wear the same shades as you. PS I love the eye look ❤
I wanna try this and try mixing the two hood apple foundations I think that would be a match made in heaven!!!!!!

Thank you for the review! My preference is quick drying foundation because those are the ones that wear the longest! I always work in sections with those haha.
Patty you should try the clinique serum foundation, it’s just like the kvd but it’s more hydrating. It’s my perfect foundation, it is very liquid in consistency and it’s full coverage. I have an oily nose but the rest of my face is normal to dry
I have very dry skin and the good apple balm foundation looked so awful and patchy. My best friend has oily skin and the balm fit her skin much better. Super excited to try it thanks for reviewing it for us dry skin gals!

Goodmorning from Greece 🇬🇷 my beautiful Patty.Having my coffee while watching your ♥︎ video ♡ I have dry skin I have some foundations mostly for every day I'm running out but with my nieces wedding coming in 3 months and as a Greek living in hot climate during spring and summer and always sunny (I live on a Greek island) and I have ysl all hours but I wanted to try diors new matte forever or repurchasing dw from estee but I wanted to listen to your opinion about a good suggestion, I prefer full coverage for events, I need blurring hydrating and no flashback (wow so little to ask 😂 haha ) LOVE YOU PATTY ♡♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎

Ok, watched thru to the end. I think I will pass as I'm 61 with very dry flaky skin did make me want to dig out my Good Apple original foundation :) Thank you for a great review Patty (not to say I wouldn't have purchased but every color is now out of stock!)

Patty, awesome review. Was a bit nervous at first as I have dry skin as well, specially this time of year but going to buy it as you gave it your stamp of approval 🙂. The only thing I want to know is if it oxidizes. You did not mention that but I'm curious so I know what shade to go for.
They recommend a spinge for application. Just fyi. It might make a difference 🙂

Have you reviewed the KVD Apple Balm or cream foundation? The last one that released that's good for dry skin? I searched your channel but didn't see it. I have really dry skin also in winter and would love to see it. If you havet, would you consider it? If you have will you link it?
Could you offer some foundation suggestions for me to look into/try for my unique skin issues? Like maybe suggest 3 or 4 that MAY work? Or a primer that may help? No matter what I have tried, the foundation always seems to settle into my deep lines OR look too heavy/cakey because I end up having to set it with powder. If I don’t set something then it will be all up in my deep forehead veins sooner or later. Sadly I have never had any luck finding a foundation that works well for me.
My skin type is:
- Combo/leaning oily in t zone
-dry/flaky arrears from healing pimples
-dark purple/greyish spots from old acne scars
-dry areas from just starting prescription Retinol
-deep horizontal forehead wrinkles & “11’s in between eyebrows
- large pores on forhead & cheeks
-very visible rosacea on my nose
-sagging skin/volume loss on whole face (mostly visible in cheeks/ jowls) from an almost 200lbs weight loss which just emphasizes my already large pores.
-foundation/concealer NEVER sticks to my nose and just ends up leaving “foundation dots” settling in all of the pores on it so my nose looks polka dotted.
Ideally I would like 2-4 different foundations for different occasions:
-one that is super fast/easy to apply for when I’m in a huge rush and just need to put something on right after I wash/moisturize my face
-one that is good for days that my skin is acting super oily
-one that is natural looking
-one that is as full coverage as possible without looking cakey
I think this would be far too high coverage and matte for my liking, I would have thought this would be for dry skin and the balm for oily skin rather than the other way around, interesting. I never used anything from KVD
Just have a feeling before the review it’s going to be close to the Dior backstage face and body by the looks of it ,)
Hopefully with a better color range! I love Dior backstage but it's always too light and yellow or too peach.

I have strange skin. It's incredibly dry around my mouth and nose but my actual nose gets oily and foundation never wants to stick to my nose. I have huge pores, wrinkles, acne scars and many broken capillaries. I prefer a soft matte to a super dewy look because of my texture but I don't like anything powdery or dry if that makes sense. I rarely use setting powder because it makes my wrinkles more prominent imo.
What do you apply the bronzer with? Are you dry skinned

Interesting…I like to watch your reviews bc you have dry skin. I thought maybe bc it’s thin and full coverage it would be like the foundation drops that are full pigment but thin. I am combo normal dry skin and I love the foundation drops…but have to use a sponge for those. I think I’ll give this a try.
