very good buy
Thanks for the review. Couple of questions: 1) Can this trigger be mounted on roto-toms ?(being that they have no shell) 2) Can I add my own sounds like xylophone , tabla, piano? 3) Can the sounds be added with any software or only the Roland software?
Thank again.
I almost thought it was useless until I see that you can load your own sounds.. Good, because Roland sounds are like old Midi sounds from 50years ago... Damn
Adding your own sounds to the RT-MicS is what I love the most about it! You could be so creative with it! :)
Do you think it fits to a snare wood hoops?
I just bought one and I’m not sure if it fits to that snare
I'm so annoyed this was just discontinued 😡 I use mine on every gig and it just stopped working!
Repair it!
Is the mic in it any good?
Dónde se compra soy de Chile
Latency?
what’s ur snare bro ?
Does it get rim shot?
No :(
so disappointed they discontinued this
Can this be put on a kick?
Hi Keith, you can only mount on a snare or tom on the rim. Clamping does not allow you to attach onto a hoop of a bass drum. However, people have converted their 16" Floor Tom to a bass drum and this would allow you to attach to the new bass drum.
Hope that helps.
they should have ditched the mic and added a few more sounds
...or get the new Yamaha EAD10. Yes it's double the price, but does ten times what this thing does. Plus, if you've played on a dark stage, this thing will be more awkward to reach, make adjustments, etc. Typical Roland, behind the 8 ball. They're now like Apple.
Not really designed for the same thing. I play in a full stage setup with close micing on all drums. I’d never swap that for the ead but I’d definitely consider this mic to swap out my snare mic.
The EAD10 is an awesome product but is a very different product made for very different applications. The RT-MicS is the perfect solution for adding any triggered sound you like to your snare or toms. No more cables, no more modules, sets up in 2 seconds and is very simple to operate :)
