I personally think that the fake one was alot more cloudy wile the real one was as clear as day
It’s actually the opposite most times
Oh ok
That’s the one thing I noticed too.
Fact...
Wrong cubic has different quality really good shiny coast expensive than normal cubic
So cubic zirconia is more sparkly and its flaws only come out when incredibly closely inspected, aswell as far cheaper. Sounds like a much better deal
"Go fake or go home!" lol.
But expensive shiny rock 🥺
Blood Diamond is a movie about where some of the diamonds in the world come from…great watch.
There's different quality of diamonds and cubic zirconia.
My wife's ring is VS diamond.
Only and last diamond I'll buy. They're not rare and the price is inflated insanely.
Based on the price of diamonds, there's trillions of dollars of diamonds just sitting in reserves.
@@johnadler6987 yerp
The fake one also looked more cloudy and grey. I’m surprised I noticed that right away lol
I thought it looked blue
No, it didn’t 😂🤣🤣
@@CeeWorld69yes it did. Are you blind? The cubic clearly looks cloudy and white
@@shotty2164 no it’s not 😂
These are the kind of shorts I need in my life.
When you showed the real and the fake side by side, the fake looks like almost like it had plastic or something in its component.
and they were both completely different colours
I think it depends on the quality of CZ as well.
No
I’m no diamond expert but when you showed the 2 diamonds, I knew immediately which one was fake and real
Yeah because you had a real one close, imagine trying to guess having only one at the time in your hand :)
If it takes this much effort to tell the difference, diamonds shouldn't be so expensive
Tell that to the millions of years of metamorphosis and diamond miners aswell as diamond shapers and the needed tools to shape and make a diamond
@@vincedeguzman3779 Their effort doesn't matter. What matters is how large amounts of diamonds are kept and sold in small amounts to keep the prices up. Even if theyre valuable theyre not worth these prices
@@vincedeguzman3779 “diamond miners” you mean slave labor
o forgot the word
@@vincedeguzman3779 huh
I recall reading somewhere, that artificial diamond were so good, that imperfections were signs of it being naturally made aka real diamonds
Yup, lab grown diamonds can be made unrealisticly perfect.
lab grown and basically the same just made in a lab
This is the total opposite my friend, did you pay attention to the video even?
what if artificial lab diamond creators start adding impurities?
@@thefarewellthe guy literally says cubic zirconia in the vid but there are actual fake diamonds that are structurally identical
“To the average person, it’s very hard to tell the difference”
*Holds up two diamonds that look completely different*
Are you aware how stupid the average person is
But how do you know which one is the diamond??
It would be hard to tell if they weren't side by side
@@lizard5872 'average' What you are referring to is usually the minority
Bruh comment,I really think you would never knew which one is real if this guy never told ya.
Honestly in my opinion I feel like cubic zirconia looks better just because of the more and higher sparkle
I love cubic zirconia. Best thing ever. My blue cubic necklace is just as sparkly as it was when I got it. And I worn it everyday for like 3 years. Highly recommend
Never buy diamonds. You get ripped off for something that does nothing other than look sparkly.
"This is how I tell a difference between a fake and a real diamond"
*Hammers both the diamonds*
True cuz diamonds is denser than the fake one of course stronger too
Diamonds can easily be shattered by hammers...
@@rajeevm1989 A diamond cannot be easily shattered by a hammer
They will react the same since both are diamond.
One was made in a lab vs one was made in the ground
@@zickity4453 yea it can, a hammer will shatter a diamond like it does with a CZ , the hardness scale means like a simple scratch test, like saying a car can run over a rock and the rock won’t break but if you get a hammer and smack it the rock will shatter where as the car weights more than the hammer and the force you apply
Imagine having your career built around artificially influenced prices of an item.
It's a racket for sure, one of many.

Real things never shine like that.
I've always wondered, as a jeweler, what is your stance on lab grown gems(the ones that are actual gems, just made in a lab). Like how some gems have many uses, but are too expensive to be practical (like a massive diamond tipped blade). Anyways, I'm going on and on. Tl;Dr what are you opinions on lab grown gems?
I think he said once that lab grown are better for many reasons because
1. Its a lot cheaper
2. Its hard to tell the difference between a real and a lab grown own
3. Lab grown ones dont have children with guns at their heads mining for them
@@nazfx2648 I don't believe you can tell the difference between a lab grown diamond and a child blood sweat and tears mined one at all.

I literally just guessed the diamond was the real one because it looked clear while the cubic zirconium looked like it had a blue tint
I'm glad I wasn't crazy lol, it definitely seemed like it had a bit of a cold blue tint compared to the real diamond.
There is a greater amount of blue in the fake. The difference (to me) is like comparing household lightbulbs. One is a more warm colored and the other(like the energy efficient bulbs) is more blue/white
If your diamond has scratches that’s usually a good sign it’s not a diamond… unless you’ve been rubbing your diamonds together and scratching them with each other
The fake one also has kind of a blue tint
I was able to tell which one was which I guessed because the cubic whatever looked susly perfect and very very bright so I just assumed the more grayish one was real, and I was indeed correct.
Right the fake one had like a blueish tint to it
The cubit zirconium (CZ) was cloudy and looked like crap. The real diamond had much better clarity and fire.
Wellll you had a 50% chance of picking the correct one… not really difficult to choose correctly with those odds
I think some quickly noticed things are how the real Diamond is clearer, not as see through, sparklier, and has more of a yellowish tint to it.
Yes
I have absolutely no previous experience on choosing diamonds but I could clearly see which one is real even before this guy told. The fake one had an unreal touch to it
Cubics one is also more white at least that’s what I noticed
I actually noticed the difference when they were showing us the djfferenece of the rainbows
They call that fire.
I noticed right when the video started. The real diamond is a lot more fuller than a fake one
I love how I instantly knew which was which. The real diamond was slightly duller then the cubic zirconia.
This one is the one test that worked, the sharp or non-sharp edge one. Thank you!
Wow I was able to tell.... I think it's because ai go to thrift shops and goodwill and similar places and by eyespot gold, diamonds, and some other valuables...I naturally learned to tell by eye since I didn't want to just whip out testers in a shop lol
Ok
POV:you chose the true diamond,” I when y’all gonna sign me up?”
I couldn't have explained it like you did, but I did guess the correct real one, and that felt good
Congrats, you made it easier for people to make fake diamonds!
I can test them for you!
*runs away*
I'm so proud of myself! I could tell the difference 💕
Omg a CZcams channel that is not just garbage 🗑 but shows you real skills for life.
Especially if you're going to work with jewelry
@@meamagic2783 🤣😂🤣😂
I love how he said for the average person it's hard too tell but I immediately pointed and said that's the fake. Than he put up the label and explained how it was the fake. My family grew up dirt poor so I haven't been around a lot of diamonds Its just small things any perceptive person could pick up.
Lab grown materials and naturally formed materials are easy to tell apart when outside the jewelry casing. It's much harder to tell when someone is actually wearing a piece but the differences are pretty easy to spot if you just look.
You Are Amazing Sir ❤️
Fake
stole from UMR Gaming bot, lol.
"this is how to screw me over and get me fired"
Thanks for sharing the tips 🥰
People think it looks fake because the jeweler always reminds you of this. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- down with the diamond industry!
Plot twist: he’s lying and he wants you to throw away your “fake one” when it’s the real one
Now I can tell wether I was sold a fake diamond
My eyes allow me to see colors differently than others, this let's me see that diamonds are yellow while zirconias are blue to me. This makes it very easy for me to tell the difference
Y'all be careful who you listen to. The diamond industry is dead set on trying to convince you that real diamonds are obvious and superior. The reality is that lab made diamonds are scaring the crap out of their diamond market. No more monopoly money for the corrupt and what not.
real was clear and fake was cloudy, because both diamonds were side by side. Seeing only one diamond requires mastery
Me getting so happy when I was guessing to see if I could tell.
Shows he can tell the difference as a professional, me as someone who's never even seen a diamond before could easily tell right away.
It’s crazy how naturally created objects can be more definitive then man made objects
It’s because of the hardness, you can shape a diamond and it will hold the shape.
This is complete bull, since natural diamonds are not as perfect as human made ones 😂
Years ago I started selling rocks that I picked up off the ground I worked my way up to diamonds by the time I reached diamonds I had already gotten very well good at telling them real and fake/manufactured and it's a great trick to use on my friends because half the time they think it's a real diamond and it ain't and the other half the time they think it's a fake and it's real it's fun to mess with them because I'm actually no just easy off hand I look at it and I can tell thanks for the explanation of how I can tell though never could put my finger on it but it's just you look at it and you can tell didn't even know what I was looking for I could just tell
Diamonds are very cool to look at up close
I won't need this anytime soon but it's neat to know thanks
I didn't even know what a real diamond is supposed to look like yet I got it correct
Until now I didn’t realize how beautiful diamonds are
The fake one looks more blue while real one had a more warm tone to it
Thanks for your expertise.
Thank you i learn what is fake or real diamonds
Ive watched so many of these i can tell just by looking at them
the cubic zirconia looked way more cloudy and also had a strong blue tint, while the real diamond was clearer than my vision and had no blue tint to it
Thanks to u i have learnt to spot real diamonds now
I guessed right immediately. It ain't that tough doc.
I looked at the two of them and immediately knew that the one toward the bottom was the fake because it was glowing brighter
The fake diamond looks a little whiter too while the real one is a lot more clear.
Those edge can also be achieved in cubic zirconia, they just aren't normally produced in a way that achieves this. With the correct conditions, a "fake" diamond can be cleaner and more perfect than the majority of diamonds in the rings of women.
Its easy as hell to tell because the real one is clear as day and the other one is really smuged and cloudy
Thank you for teaching😁👏👏👏
From my eyes I see the cubic zirconia has a blue hue to it while the real diamond looks crystal clear
I just use the flash of light across the top of the diamond and zirconia. Zirconia will reflect more light as the diamond will absorb more of the light
The fake one looks much more cool than the real diamond, which is significantly warmer.
To me, a regular person, with the first two diamonds I could tell that the fake one and a little blue tint and the real diamond was more white
That make sense. Thanks.
Don't know if it's like this for ALL fake diamonds, but I immediately noticed the fake one also looked sort of a "milky" color, whereas the real one was pretty clear.
This is because the moh's scale hardness differences between diamond (a 10) and cubic zirconia (6-6.5) now those flashes are actually a value determining property called dispersion (called "fire" in the industry) and that high dispersion is the main reason people say diamonds are so beautiful, but they are definitely not the highest in dispersion by no means and cubic zirconia (which is a synthetic gem and not to ever be confused with the natural and awe inspiring Zircon gem) had almost double the dispersion or "fire" than that of diamond.
the real diamond had a yellow-ish hue to it while the fake had kind of a light-blue, gray hue
Scratches at a level 8 with deeper grooves at a level 9
Cool thing about diamonds. They are very conducive and if you put a diamond and a metal nut on a piece of ice they will melt the ice at the same pace. Another way to test if a diamond is real.
Thank you for the advice!!!
it's completely untrue. only a machine can tell
It was actually pretty easy to tell which one was fake and real
It's very obvious, one looks more like plastic. The other one looks very pure.
Crazy cus the cubic zirconia looked way better than the real one
The fake one had more of a whiter tint while the real one had a yellow tint
... Well I learned something new today thank you
I mean cubic one is foggy and less clear and diamond is literally clear and moreover it's prismic properties are more than just reflecting one like cubic one and as well diamond captures light more or so alike
My grandpa said that if take it into the Light than out of the light and it still shines, and if you can see into it but not see through it it is a diamond
Its easy between those two in that lighting. The diamond that brighter its fake and the real one is more dimmer
Wow I figured it out on my own in the beginning of the video
Moissanite also shows a bunch of insane flashes (more than CZ) compared to diamond. The amount of moissanites I’ve seen people get mad that they didn’t pass the diamond tester was insane…
I could tell straight away when you showed both of them
I'm not a jeweler but I could tell before you zoomed in. The real one was a sharper color than the other one. The fake actually looked like plastic
As a complete amateur with no experience or interest in diamonds I was able to immediately guess which one was real and which one was fake.
Simply Real Diamond is clean and more beautiful
Ok thank you I now have about 30 small diamonds to test now bye and wish me luck✌🏽🖤🥳💃🏽🙃
I was able to tell before the label even popped up omg
Honestly, al fake diamonds look better than real😂💎
The fake one seems to have a very light blue-ish tent to it as well
I guessed it right, I feel amazing nobody can reach my level.
The fake one is more blue and the real one is more gray and I personally like the blue better
I also think that fake diamonds have random geometric shapes while real ones have similar , even, and well patterned shapes
Now we need this man to get that guy who keeps claiming his fake diamonds are real.
You just earned a sub
The fake one also looked more cloudy and grey/white
