- SCP-001 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Atonement.
SCP-001 is a humanoid gravitational singularity currently contained within the Area-11 Pietrykau-Fontaine Array. SCP-001 is immeasurably dense; only by mitigating its effect on spacetime through the use of Scranton-Kempf devices are Foundation personnel able to maintain the structural integrity of the Spatial Stabilization Array.
SCP 001 is capable of manipulating the nature of reality through alterations in gravity that change the shape and structure of spacetime. As such its anomalous capabilities cannot be dampened by anything other than the Pietrykau-Fontaine array, any alterations to spacetime made by SCP001 are irreversible.

If you believe this canon, yes. If you don’t believe this canon, then you that is not true.
It depends on what you personally believe is canon, there is no true canon in SCP it’s all up to the readers/viewers own imagination
So although this is the real 001 in this universe, the other 001 proposals are still real in their own universes
That's kind of the running theme with SCP-001, each proposal claims to be the real one, while all the others are supposedly the fakes made to obfuscate it. It is left up to the reader to decide which proposal if they think is the real one.

Technically, they are shared canons so it isn’t exactly 100% true per se.
"Destroying other realities to stop the anomalies entering to save this reality" has the same energy as Thanos wiping out half of the universe's population to save the other half from the lack of resources instead of just making more resources for everyone

Well I was typing this and I just remembered what my comment is about.. What I'm saying is if this entity can literally wipe out the multiverse, why can't the brillant minds of the scp foundation just ask it to wipe out all scps? And if it doesn't agree the just screw it... I mean it probably has sufficient powers for that task it's literally proposing to destroy every other universe so it can definitely do that for just the scps.. I mean it did the death by black hole thingy to the 05 council right? Furthermore who tf would just trust a sentient blackhole?! Thanos originally just wants to kill everyone in the universe, don't mistake Disney's half assed version Thanos for being the prime example of Thanos. All Disney created was a character with plot holes where there weren't any before
Well I never said Disney's Thanos was the "prime example" of Thanos. If anything I'm comparing the writing and plot holes of this SCP to MCU Thanos. It doesn't matter if the OG Thanos wants everyone dead in my statement. I'm simply making a comparison of both (This SCP and MCU Thanos..) in which there is a much smarter, simpler, and better solution to their problems yet it wasn't given enough thought by the characters/writers.
Disney's Thanos didnt hav plot holes; he knew if he made more resources that populations would just continue to rapidly grow to overtake said resources again but if he killed half of universe's population then everybody would hav more than enough to share while it took a long time for life to recover. Marvel's "prime example" thanos only wanted to wipe out half of life just to prove his love for the entity Lady Death which is just weak compared to what disney actually gave us
This tale includes both the kindest and most ruthless O5 council, and it's honestly so weird.
I think this video made the council look more ruthless than the article. If I remember correctly, the council was also concerned that the Singularity had made this same deal to Foundations in other realities. In essence, a vote for No was hoping that no Foundation out of an infinite number of them would vote Yes and destroy *_our_* reality. It was basically guaranteed that a Foundation somewhere was going to vote Yes, so it might as well be us; there really wasn't much choice in the matter.

It does display that it isn't completely lying about being at least a representation of Desmet. And since he is a loyal Foundation member and one of the 05's knows personally that Desmet would actually destroy the anomalous if given the chance its not that stupid of an idea.

There’s no canon with anything SCP, so if you wanna believe this is the true 001 then that’s entirely up to you’re own imagination
Technically all the 001 entries could be true in their own respective universes, this proposal is true in it’s own universe.
But whatever you personally wanna believe is canon is the canon for you thats how SCP works, there isn’t a set in stone canon unless you want to believe in one of the many canon timelines people have wrote like the Broken Masquerade timeline for example
"Destroy ALL other realities!", or, maybe just destroy the way these other realities are able to bleed over into ours!? Sounds easier than destroying other universes!
Might be a bit more complicated to the entity to fix the bleeds rather than just destroy the realities causing the problems.
Cause fixing the bleeds could take along time and alot of energy, whereas just wiping the different universes from existence takes less time.

Good luck doing “The way it ends”. It one of, if not, the longest SCP article in the SCP WIKI. Having countless references to other SCP and Stories. Full of 13 lengthy different parts. Like SCP-5000 was enormous, but it nothing compare to “the way it ends.” However if anyone can, it probably be you guys.

@@SarahET They come up in the final part, where they are used to do some (spoiler stuff). They're also thematically connected with the Foundation's work for the greater good, aka, the ends justifies the means.
The spoiler is that O5 members are assassinated using them.

This would be a good premise, or setting, or plot surround it, for an SCP movie. Somehow link it to, The Flesh That Hates, and The Aristocrats, along with a bunch of the other SCPs playing their parts. Or, those first 3 could be part of the main plot for SCP movies 1, 2, and 3.

the reason there are multiple SCP 001 Proposals is because some are stories and some are not. that way it is near impossible to tell which is real. one, all, or even none may be real,.
The official wiki said that only one was real, and that many, MANY copies were made to hide the true nature of it

All the story about 001 is to cover up the real SCP-001. The real SCP-001 is still unknown, it may in one of the 30 SCP-001 articles or entirely different SCP from the 30 articles or doesn’t exist at all.
