Most Sonic games only finish development 5 minutes before the game is released. The fact they are finished with development of the game this far in advance is very surprising. This is a good sign for quality control so there is a good chance the final product will be fully polished and ready for release.

Something worth mentioning, even if I don't play mobile games myself, it's a crazy profitable platform and Sega could finance their entire business off the back of Rovio's mobile tech if they use it correctly.

@@FlashBiduan i put the blame on forces, for years colours was seen as a great game but then forces dropped and shared surface level similarites to colours (platforming heavy 2d sections, hallway like 3d sections, boost wisps, weaker story even tho colours wasnt trying to be serious), so now colours is mid apparently

Honestly, the sonic toy party game is closest we’ll ever get to a classic-esque Shadow.
My biggest hope for this game is that it'll convince SEGA to give more characters days in the limelight. I'd like to see a Blaze focused game and a Silver focused game
blaze as a character is kind of confusing... in 06 (canon or not) is in silver´s time, but then in the idw comics, she is in another dimension. can someone please explain?
@@Lewisart-eo8fv to my understanding 06 takes place PRIOR to the idw comics and sonic rush games, when blaze is sealed into another dimension with iblis within her she stays there at the end of 06 as she isnt seen within the void in the last level, my theory is that when the timeline was reset at the end of 0 when people no longer remembered anything, she the timeline didnt reset her position, just her memories, thus making it so she was ALWAYS a part of that second dimension, this is to my best understanding of it all as i am fascinated by how time travel shit works in fictional media

I'm just excited for this game mostly because since it's gonna be on *ALL* modern consoles, it's the first time Generations has been on a Nintendo console, well, unless you count the 3DS version, but, like Colors DS, considering it uses the rush engine, it's a different game entirely, the story of both games is relatively the same(though, Colors DS has a lil' side story with Blaze, Team Chaotix is in it as well, it also has a true final boss if you collected all the Chaos Emeralds)but the gameplay is *E N T I R E L Y* different compared to their original counterparts

I’m so happy SEGA is cooking right now. I’m just annoyed that people are already starting to hate on the Sonic X Shadow Generations icon. It’s crazy how SEGA finished development Sonic X Shadow Generations this quick and I’m happy that Sonic Team is working on other projects.

What they're doing does sound like this is likely going to be a step in the right direction for the Sonic franchise, and I never played the original Generations game so playing this new version of it won't be a repeat for me.
I strongly hope that what I've heard about Shadow's story in this upcoming game means that Sega has finally realized how much of a bad idea it was for them to take away all of what had made Shadow be such a popular character, which was the character developement that he had gotten through SA2, Heroes, and 06. They made him be too much of a friendless edgeloard that he couldn't even be part of Team Dark anymore! So I hope that they've finally understood how much of a major mistake doing that was and that they are trying to use his story in this game as a way to deal with it and bring the better version of him from those 3 old games back, instead of letting that annoying mistake continue to not get fixed up!

Even if the Shadow Generations side isn’t great, remember that there’s also a Sonic Generations remaster in there
Just hoping this means Shadow doesn’t only have like 5 stages and that they actually put effort in remastering Generation and added some more content like new stages or even characters like Shadow Silver Blaze etc.
I feel like we won't have to worry about the level design tbh. Since on top of making Shadow Gens, they were remastering Sonic Gens, they could've been seeing what made is so great and could've taken notes from the levels and applied it to Shadow Gens if that makes sense. Also I think SonicXShadow Gens is meant to be pronounce like SpyXFamily or HunterXHunter where the X is silent.
this may be the first time i ever hear that sega actually "FINISHED" a game months before its release,i truly hope that it has good level design and great overall character control,and that they do some tweaks on normal generations like making the final boss at least bearable and changing the story a little bit to make it kinda decent

Im gonna make a guess and say kishimoto our beloved is the director, and if you were present on his feedback tweet-a-thon he was made very clear that cyberspace physics are shitty, so he probably fixed the physics for this one, after all Dream Team had rock solid physics.
Glad SEGa is finally taking their time to create games, and not rushing them, or just decreasing deadlines. It shows that they’re actually trying to do something better

I’d say this news sounds good. It’s important to let Sonic Team cook and let them put their own effort into making their games. Things take time, and the more they take their time, the better. This is news is perfect for the community, because at least Sonic fans got some news about Sonic X Shadow Generations, and I’m sure they’ll get Sonic Movie 3 news soon.

I'm REALLY hoping for at least three levels: Final Chase (SA2)(confirmed), Westopolis (Shadow The Hedgehog)(confirmed), and maybe White Acropolis (Sonic 06) or another Sonic Heros level such as Mystic Mansion or Lost Jungle. At least 1 big boss fight: Biolizard (Confirmed). And as a bonus, a rival fight would be so peak: It could be either a fight against Sonic or Mephiles the Dark.

Brooo sonic team seems to have left the 2007-2022 “Baby” era in the past. Im so glad that shit is over. I couldn’t stand any of those sonic games with dorky shallow stories. Im hoping for a better looking sonic redesign too. Something with more flare and angst. Like SA2 or 06.

Yeah Twitter is overreacting (as usual) to that icon, which is probably also the box art. You just need to look at other remasters to figure out they often have a very similar cover to the original version.
3D World on Switch is the same as on Wii U but with a Bowser's Fury segment added to the bottom. Sonic X Shadow Gens seems to be doing the same but with the new game portion being on the top.
I PRAY that they improve Classic’s momentum; something like Showin’s Classic Sonic Improvement mod in City Escape Act 1 on Switch? Jesus Christ, you might as well call that the PEAK button. That could damn well make SxSG LEGITIMATELY the best Sonic game ever made.
