@@3Days3Noches Que lo que prima, awesome I'm from Puerto Plata,the hotels there are not as good as Punta Cana but there's more to see in the north Coast than the punta cana area, last year I drove with my family from Puerto Plata to Samana, we stopped in Nagua took some drone shots and the road there is beautiful surrounded by coconut trees and Beaches, please do that trip when You can, I guarantee you'll love it,but also visit puerto plata city there is lots to see and explore and is very safe. Say hello to my Dominican Brother,Cheers.

@3Days3Noches Thank you so so much for your videos. I watched several of your videos prior to our trip to Punta Cana and they were perfect! We traveled with only carry-ons only per your suggestions and brought with us sunscreen ($35 per bottle on the island) and insulated cups...Essential gear for sure!
I would add spring clamps to essential travel gear to hold your beach towel to your chair (15-20 mph while we were there and noticed several people had these).

It’s truly paradise island. I go every year to the resorts ,in 2 weeks I’ll be at Majestic Colonial. I agree I left the resort to explore its beauty and I’ve left the resort rented a car and travel to different parts of DR .. thank you for an amazing informative video and so kind to the ppl there :)

@@3Days3Noches Idk about favorite because I like them the same .. I did the party boat swam in the ocean really nice and I did the buggy excursion. This excursion took us to a brief orientation on coffee etc we swam in caves and Macao beach breathtaking. I love to do parasailing or zip lining . My fears of heights is bad

I would be so grateful for information for older travelers 60+ such as options for what to wear, excursions (energy levels-restrooms) ect.
We are going for the first time in November and haven't had a vacation anywhere in years. We are going with a work group which will help the anxiety but I would really like to feel okay about exploring some of the top spots without worry. Thank you! Also, the Spanish for travelers would be nice. I've been using Duolingo but would love to hear from you what is useful.

You can definitely get a full experience of the country, however, I do recommend someone from over there that you're friends with? To guide you and be with you to actually have a sense of security. Good communication goes along the way wherever you go.

Resorts at Punta Cana are the main things I'll be doing since I do lack those experiences and definitely agree with you, it's the best first option to begin your traveling experiences.
Sooner or later, I'll be diving around the entire coasts of Dominican Republic before I head out to explore like Brazil or Jamaica.
Yes so true! We have plans to do a guided tour with Diamond Transfers in the future! Right now our schedules only allow us to travel for 3 Days and 3 Noches so doesnt give us much time but def soon!

We are going to the DR in July for our anniversary, and will be checking a bag, for various reasons. We have private transportation reserved. Is there any problem with going thru immigration first, then retrieving our bag and meeting our transfer company? Or are we required to get the bag first? Thanks in advance! Love your videos!

Can you do a car rental for a day to explore the island? We’ve never done an all inclusive. We typically rent a car from teh airport for our stays. But didnt figure that would be necessary at a resort. But would still love to travel around the island for sightseeing and such.

I’ve never had an issue. I know some people have. I’m not sure what they rinse the salads in. I never think about any of that lol. I just go and have fun

Hard Rock is always a great choice but maybe look into Finest? Haven’t been there but I liked the Excellence culture and it’s in the same brand.

Did you look at Margaritaville or Breathless. Those are more laid back usually

Our Diamond Transfer shuttle never showed and didn’t respond to our messages. We had to improvise to get transportation to the resort.

I think it depends! We stayed at Sanctuary Cap Cana that has a very small beach and they have barriers so they are able to control it somewhat. But summers are bad in both Punta Cana and Cancun

Usually the service will factor that in for you. They will ask for your flight info etc

I’ve stayed at Majestic and liked it a lot. Especially for the price point!! Also Royalton Bavaro Suites and Spa was small but nice and had waterpark

We typically go to Cancun, but are seriously considering visiting Punta Cana next. Could you tell us any differences we should expect between Cancun and Punta Cana?
I’m actually going to do a video on this! Main differences would be. The airport at PC isn’t as up to date as Cancun and takes a little longer to get through when you arrive. Also the Dominican people are very laid back so service is slower. Depending on which resort the food tends to be better in Mexico. But we love both! I love the island vibe in PC. You should try it at least once!!!
I also love the island vibe in the DR and the beaches are better in my opinion with the beautiful tall Royal and Coconut palm trees versus the Riviera Maya area. Overall the beaches are better in my opinion especially in the PC and Samana areas. There are certain beaches on the Mayan Coast that might rival but not many. i.e. Maroma, Xpu-ha, Akumal, Isla. I am gonna to Mayan Riviera in few weeks to dive in Akumal so I do love both areas. I would say the water mostly is more turquoise in PC area especially when no Sargasso. If you enjoy the Cancun and haven’t been then you will definitely enjoy PC DR for sure. More Island vibe starting at airport. 🌴

Well my honest opinion in PC the people are more courteous and friendly compare to Cancun;People were very dry and cold. But we’ll still give them another chance on another resort.

That’s a tough one! Def something shorter! The one I took to el cielo was kid friendly and if you’re staying closer to Playa Del Carmen it’s a ferry ride over which they will like

I've never been to Punta Cana, we want to visit the first week of August, possibly, the 1st-7th of August; however, I am on the fence because of hurricane and thunderstorm/rainy season. Can you please let me know if you've ever personally experienced heavy thunderstorm and hurricane in your travels to Punta Cana, and should I just go for it or just don't visit in August.

We stayed at Majestic Mirage! We really liked it!!!
We recently nixed going to Mexico/Cancun to celebrate our 40th anniversary February, 2024 due to Mexico's recent legislation regarding smoking in public. We are cigar lovers! We traveled in the past to Nicaragua and Florida to enjoy partaking in this luxury in outdoor settings. We attend numerous cigar events around the U.S. The DR is one of the countries that manufactures some of favorites! However, yet another factory trip is becoming old. We would LOVE to go to an all inclusive and enjoy our smokes on the beach or other outdoor areas whilst being served a cocktail and taking in the views! The thought of being ostracized to a corner "smoking section" is dreadful. Smoking a cigar, unlike cigarettes, are at least an hour-long enjoyment. Is smoking an acceptable practice at all inclusives in the DR? Or shall we give up on our dream?
Yes you can smoke In DR on the beaches and they sell them on the beach! At least it was allowed at the resorts we stayed at!
Does the punta Cana airport offer any services for children with disabilities?
I def saw people waiting with wheel chairs when I deplaned so disabilities I’m assuming yes. Children. I do t know but they have the VIp that you can pay extra for

Hi! That’s not a stupid question! It depends on the airline! Some let you have a carry on and a small personal item! But you can definitely have it in the airport! What airline are you flying?

I have no idea what it’s called but he said it was special Dominican Rum drink. It was sweet! Kind of like Rum Punch but with a twist 🤤
