I had two scheduled c sections and both experiences were very pleasant. The doctors and nurses were very nice and tried to make me feel calm and relaxed when I came into the OR. I saw my babies immediately after they were born and then they were taken away but my husband was with them all the time. So I felt like they were in save hands while I was stitched up.
I was in pain for about 1,5 weeks. However the first two days were tough then it was gradually better. Overall I look back on the births of my children very fondly.

Thank you for this, I used to swear I’d always want an elected c section as vaginal birth scared me, but when I fell pregnant I changed my mind completely and decided to go for a vaginal birth. I had an epidural at 7cm and needed forceps and an episiotomy, and I was worried about recovery but my recovery was actually SO smooth. I was up and walking around the same day, and felt basically back to normal after 2 weeks. I’d definitely want a vaginal birth again next time around!! The recovery for a c section sounds tough. I think a lot of people think c section is the easy way out but I totally disagree, the recovery for a c section sounds really rough as it’s MAJOR surgery!!

I have a similar story to yours. My first was a vaginal delivery, epidural, 3rd degree tearing. My second was a c-section due to baby being breech. I actually preferred my c-section as well. My recovery was so much more enjoyable AFTER the hospital stay. I would say that the time in the hospital was a little more difficult after my c-section because it was painful and difficult to get in and out of the bed (and my husband was not there at night like he was with my first). BUT, my physical recovery was much quicker with my c-section. I just felt better. It seemed like I healed quicker and had the desire and ability to get back to normal life more quickly as well. I am now pregnant with my third (after 6 years) and am really praying over and discussing with my hubby whether or not to opt for another c-section. (That is, IF my doctor gives me the option.). Thank you for sharing your story. :)

I had an Emergency C Section on the 5th to deliver my baby as labour wasn’t progressing. I was crazy to get the epidural as the contractions were getting painful. Once the epidural was in I wasn’t feeling contractions anymore and labour was almost 48 hours and baby was in distress then I was rushed to the theatre for an EMCS. It wasn’t painful at all as they numb you and I recovered well.

I had a vbac 6 years after an emergency c-section. No Dr would take me because I wanted a vbac and I ended up going with a midwife and a doula (best decision!) I really wanted an unmedicated labor because I really believed having an epidural slowed down my labor the first time. Everything went great, my daughter was born healthy and ready to breastfeed. I hope you get your vbac too! Good luck!

    Her doctor has prescribed levonorgestrel.
I find this rather strange because there’s no information that I can find on the internet to support the use of this drug for problems related to period issues?
My wife and I have both discussed this and she was concerned about it, but it seems to work for her.
But this would mean that having children would be out of the question.

My first was born via C-section and then i had 2 unmedicated vbacs. I'd take the natural birth over the C-section any day. The C-section was awful. Feeling all the tugging and pulling during the surgery and I felt like I couldn't breathe. The cold way the doctor and nurses were as if I wasn't even there and they're talking like they're at dinner. Having my arms strapped down felt so odd too. then I only got to see my son for a few seconds before they took him away and I had to spend 2 hours in a recovery room before I could see him. It destroyed the bonding experience I had with him for the first month. It felt like I was still pregnant and they were handing me someone elses baby. I was in so much pain I couldn't sleep or walk. I looked and felt like a zombie for 2 months after. The pain meds made me nauseous and felt high not good when caring for an infant with no help. My natural Births were fast and getting to see and hold my baby right away was so amazing. One day of pain is way better than 2 months of pain.

31 weeks pregnant with twins. Baby A has been pretty much head down and baby b all over the place but head down. When talking to my Dr about my concern about what was best for delivery, she mentioned that as long as baby A is head down then I can push. If baby b is breech, she can (with her actual hand) reach in and flip baby b. My thing is, what if that doesn’t work… I already have to push in an OR room incase of an emergency then they can proceed with a c section. I told her that I’m ok with just a c section if we have to do all of that. Basically all she said was “at the end of the day we want a healthy mom and babies”. She’s not giving me an option at all. 😔 this is also my first pregnancy and yes twins never came to mind when we planned for a baby and I’m happy about both but I’m terrified of the process.

I've had 3 c sections, my first was because I was my daughter was 4 pounds and being induced caused her heart hate to drop I had a medical condition that my placenta was aging faster than she was and she wouldn't gain anymore weight, luckily she never had to go to nicu and left the hospital 2 days after delivery. My 3rd c section was with my son and it was the most awful of them all combined. I shouldn't have left the hospital at day 2 but they didn't relay any information to the doctor. I was in so much pain I couldn't pass gas , I waited 8 hours for the hospital to bring me any pepto . When I got some I couldn't get out of bed but I had the same bed as I had before. It was very strange to me the only difference is I delivered my daughters at a different hospital than my son and I also had my tunes tied with my son. Honestly having my tunes tied at 21 is the worst mistake I've ever done in my life and this year I'll be reversing them. It's been 10 years since my last c section I was thinking about doing a vback but with this video I'll stick with my c sections. Thank you so much.

I’ve only had an unplanned c-section (face presentation baby after 50 hours of labor), but I would never choose a c-section. Even considering a planned c-section, it’s far easier to recover from a natural delivery and far less risky for you and for baby if you don’t have a medical condition that necessitates one. You should look into the risks of adhesions, as well, especially if you want to have future children. My second baby was a VBAC and this one will hopefully be, as well

C-sections are not good for your body when you are having +1 of these procedures done, and also the healing is a lot longer which makes it much more difficult for a lot of people who don't have much help around.
Also, the fact that hospitals earn a lot of money for doing a c-section rather than a V-delivery makes me wonder whether they really care for the patients or their profits.

I hate vaginal birth delivery 🤢🤮🥴

  • @margaretandandrewroth9229

I’ve had 3 vaginals. First one with an epidural at the end due to exhaustion and the other two med free. (The third at home with a CNM who had hospital privilege for transfer)
The third, I joke , made me decide that if I had a 4th I’d want an elective cesarean because I went from 6cm to him out in under half an hour and it was ... intense. Especially cause my first labor was over 30 hours.
But we’re not having more so...
My sister had 2 sections and she said her planned was super chill and a lot like yours.

I am a long gestater and with my first went to 42 1/2 weeks. They induced and only let me labor for 12 hours. I got to a 7 but they decided to do a c section. I should have fought it harder but by that stage I was so exhausted I let them. Second was another induction and failed vbac. Third was a scheduled c section because they wouldn't let me labor again. I hated my c sections. I prayed and prayed my body would have just gone into labor naturally but my body just wouldn't respond to the drugs.

@@Bioeliful153 Because they are brutal and limit the amount of children you can have.

Vaginal delivery is always better than C-section as it is natural.Recovery is also faster.
