Case IH 6130 with a 35’ draper combining 13,000 pounds worth of black oil sunflower seeds. These seeds will be cleaned, bagged, and sold in Eastern Missouri in the coming months!
Hi Gavin, just heard you on Zachs podcast. You’ve got to do more of the seed to mouth videos and show the provenance of that superb product your growing and direct marketing / selling.
Look at my videos of sunflower harvest from last year we had a lot of head loss from Draper, ours went down quite a bit hurt us some was cutting lower than I wanted, never got any planted this year too wet, going to have I'd say 30 acres next year, ours are all after wheat DC was very good crop for us last year made 1250 lb acre sold for 20 per hundred weight bird seed place

Looks like its working well enough without sunflower trays.
Heard you on off the husk great interview.
Great video Mr. Gavin

You should look into trying a corn head next time, they tend to get less loss
Off the Husk sent me
Great video, how many pounds do you average on an acre?

Will you have any videos for this year? I follow your farm page on Facebook and just wondering what’s happening with the channel?
I have sunnflower-fingers on my Mac Don FD 130 it works very well
That is pretty smart. We have a truck like that
How many bushels per acre can you get with sunflower seeds??
You squirrel chasers in Missouri need to leave the sunflower growing to us pros in Kansas 😁
Ooohhh, we might have a problem. Does Zach know you run the red machinery ? 👍😉😂
oh shit! I subscribed before I saw that.....
We never had any luck with straight cut
I'd suggest finding a row crop head.
4:11 you can see how many are you letting over the field
Drop the next video gavin
It seems like a lot of heads fall out the front onto the ground.
He needs a sunflower or corn head

Your getting a lot of loss. Reel speed is too fast. A draper is not suited for sunflowers, but you live and learn 🤷🏼♂️
Harwesting with that header is no business.
