I thought he was going to give the tub to his friend from the Village. Nice bath i have an old victorian tub and is so big everything is spacious in this house as i live in and old meditarranean house. Next to the bath with a shower there is a bidé and i was so pleased with it.

We're considering all the water catchment tips you mention. Swales, a giant pond /natural swimming pool. Our big main well is already covered. 😁

Amazing to see the water refilling after all that work to clean it. Imagine being the folks who had the skill (and the need) to dig it in the first place.
We kept saying that to each other as we were cleaning it. We thought about what tools were used and the effort to bring out all the rocks to make it and the building the retaining wall and the steps. Everything on this piece of land was built with care and skill. We love seeing the land come back to life. 😊
That's a great compost pile you have going there. All that oranic debris from the well - great start.

We weren’t too keen on the prospect of mucking out slop
either but once there was a goal, we were on a mission to do the job. 😊👍
If a well has no shadow they mostly dry , so always create shadow or try to make a lit ( cover)& plant trees to create shadow . (victor schauberger was the best water genius )

Hi guy's love your hard job. It would be good if you made a rainwater collection reservoir in the rainy season. Portugal can be dry in some summer seasons.

We put the mud around our trees and vegetables. It seems really good compost indeed.

I'm binging on your videos, are you able to stay in any part of the old house while you're restoring it, or are living in a caravan on site or living off site while you restore the house. Great job doing the frog pond and cleaning the water well, looks like it's a good spring with all the water that's seeping into it. If it's designated for drinking be sure to filter it as there maybe stuff from by gone days from farming still in the ground, and if there are people living up stream you don't want to be drinking it. I saw a women in India that collected rain water from her roof that went into 2 large holding containers 5000 gal each. They were set up so that when they overflowed the over flow would go into the well, recharging ground water. Just a thought as you move forward.
We will catch water from the roof when we have a new roof

I love the tub. I would have restored and used for myself if it were possible.
It looks better on camera than reality 😊 It’s a tiny concrete bath with hair line cracks. Dan wouldn’t fit in it. 🤣and as we only use showers ( to save water) it really wouldn’t be of great use in the house. But as you saw, we are making use of it and will do as long as it lasts. 👍
I wonder when the last time was the well was cleaned out.

We’re sorry you couldn’t hear everything but it probably was because of the location. We are getting better with the sound and hope to get microphones in the future which should improve things further.
