it’s wild how nick can say exactly what he’s gonna do with the serve “slice wide / kick backhand / T” and then perform exactly that. That is serious skill….
It’s amazing really
Yup. Yesterday I really focused on hitting an ace down the T. Unfortunately it went wide, still an Ace 😂
I think Milan is a mini Nick in the making, he is great at on camera feedback and clearly has alot of passion for tennis
Nick this was great, more of this style, thoroughly enjoyed it - learned alot!
🙏
Greatest Tennis Video Ever!
Thank you for making this.
Milan + Nick = Gold
Thank u 💯💯🙏🙏🔥🔥
Such a good video. I learned so much not only about clay vs. hard but tennis in general. Weekend warriors like me, bumbling around, never usually get this kind of insight. Thank you, Nik!
🙌🔥💯🙏
Love this format, so useful. More please!
💯
Agreed, this was fantastic 👊
Great job on the video Coach Nick and Milian. This was very informative and educational my friend. The weather here right now is so windy that I just seen a cow fly by my window. Hahe thank you Coach Nick.
Skid Row Meddy..😂😂Love it Nik. Wonder if this nickname will stick? Great vid as usual.
😂✌️🙏
I loved this video format👏👏👏 Great idea. The clay at my Club in Argentina is very slow, I think it is because in Buenos Aires there is a lot of humidity. Drop shots are very effective but it is extremely important to hide them until the end.
💯🙏💯
Tactics on how to keep pickelball lines off your court . Build and play on hartrue / clay courts .
19:45 what a forehand from the low ball, I would totally frame it.
I played on clay first time a month ago. Was crazy and felt that I would fall down running full speed! Adjusted to it after a bit and had a blast! Loved the spin I was getting compared to hard courts!
This video is full of very useful advice and tactics, thanks so much for providing this point by point format !
💯🙏🙌
Coach Nick, you are the goat of CZcams tennis. Thank you this was an amazing video.
Thank you 🙏🙏✌️✌️
Love this explanation ❤
Great video. Didn’t know about these differences
Also keep in mind that the tactical differences between red clay and hardcourt are far more pronounced than between Har-Tru and hardcourt. Har-Tru is way faster than red clay and generally much dryer and more slippery. Red clay is a totally different beast… much slower, bounces are more unpredictable and generally bounce a bit lower, they need to be kept much wetter and the balls take on more moisture and get heavy.
18:01 to 18:10 golden words, Thanks coach
I enjoyed the Skid Row Medvedev joke a bit too much 😂 Great video!
😂✌️
Fast & Precise. ❤❤ Gonna set this as my goal for the upcoming return to the clay courts. Let’s go!
💯🔥
thank you for a very good instructional look at tactics...
🔥💯🙏
Good stuff. Like the real time tactical thought process.i need it to handle some 4.5 level players .I play at 4.0 level
Thank you Nik and Milan. Excellent two surface masterclass. As someone who plays about 95% of the time on clay, there were def some little gems to incorporate into match strategy.
🔥✌️
Thanks, this was fun to watch. When I used to play some USTA tournaments years ago (middle states), I found my worst surface to be the green "clay" Har-tru and usually played better on outdoor hard courts (not crazy about the indoor hard courts either, but I like the red clay). I suppose great players can adjust to different surfaces (not me :). Milan is a great player and I think can adjust to any surface although he prefers the hard courts; and Coach Nick, you are playing so well that it looks you are ready to test the current ITF tour (ha-ha, I do not mean the senior version)😀
Good Timing, here in Germany starts Clay Season. Now we need more Spin and Stay Low. For me as a older and Heavier Player it will be harder to Run and stay Patient. Thats the Reason why i prepare the Winner from the first Hit on Clay and play more Heavy Spin and Angles.
Hurkacz had a good clay run so far and it sounds like your analysis fits him. Big server, power game, likes to hit the ball at a lower contact point.
Great format
🙏
Good job
any tips for synthetic grass? in australia we dont have many clay courts and only some hard courts.
I will do a video on grass and synthetic grass when I get the chance
Great tips guys. Next up, I want Nick's opinion on the greatest footwork players in the game, past and present. make it a top 10 and don't forget to mention Micheal Chang ;)
Going to continue my top 5 series. Backhand next, then footwork, mental game etc
Hi Nick. What about slow high bouncing hard courts. Can I use clay court tactics
Some of them yes
can you do a video on improving your backhand slice?
I have several
Here’s one czcams.com/video/d-VvKDgoIew/video.htmlsi=x5LF5ZBh-yYze7xk
High Quality Playing Nik
Thank you 🙏
Sir I wanted to ask for beginners which court is best for beginners clay or synthetic court which one you prefer sir
Hard court is easiest
Can you share to witch yonex racket Milan switched to?
Ezone not sure which one
@@IntuitiveTennis thanks, looked to me as the new ezone night version, interesting choice for his gamestyle, would be interesting to here why and how he arrived to that racket
Next time on cam I’ll ask him
Yo, Milan mews hard. You could cut someone with that jaw line :D
The only thing I would add is that you have to wear different types of shoes on clay, then hard courts, a lot of people don’t know that Coach Nick, maybe something you can mention in your next clay court video my friend.
You don’t have to wear clay court shoes. You might get more traction with the full herringbone sole on a clay shoe, but the regular hard court shoe works fine on clay.
@@IntuitiveTennisdepends though if it’s an above ground or below ground watering system. Played yesterday on a “clay” court (underground watering) here in Florida after a big rain shower and was really struggling to play defense with my hard court shoes. On clay courts with sprinklers, however, hard court shoes are just fine even if you’re being pushed into the corners.
I am first! 😀😀
🔥🔥🙌🙌
Skid row Medvedev 😂
💯✌️
Coach Nik is Walmart Medvedev 😂
How about Medvedev from Wish
@@IntuitiveTennis yep, that works too :)
geez, Milan isn't even breathing hard b/w points.
Milan is in unbelievable shape. He’s been practicing with Pecotic
@@IntuitiveTennis thanks for the video and insights; from both of you.
Nick you run out of stamina totally
I do but it’s also 30 degrees Celsius and 90% humidity and I’m almost 50 years old
Sometimes it is better to say nothing
@@davidhale8034 I agree Dale, but ppl don’t realize how tough the conditions are in SE Florida. I’m not in great shape, but some of the pro level players who I train get completely out of breath and exhausted as well. 🥵
mmm that makes sense now . I have been in Florida and its like burning you out just walking down streets . No offence nick . best @@IntuitiveTennis
None taken 🙌🙏
