As soon as I heard this I could tell it was Elvis. There are many imitators, but there is one thing they could never and will never be able to imitate. When Elvis sang he had in his voice what I can only describe as loneliness. He was a very humble man and despite having many things in this world you could always sense his loneliness. His heart and spirit always seemed to be troubled. He will always be the best voice in this whole universe. We were blessed to have had him a true gift from God.

This may simply be for the fact his twin didn't survive, in the womb together 9 months and a large part of him was now missing. I don't have a twin but the closeness of my double cousin and I was so significant that when she past at her age of 57, my lastv8 yrs have been my loneliest. Someone is missing, brings a huge loneliness even though we are not alone.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Please, get your ears tested. I have every studio recording that Elvis made, along with god knows how many concert recordings, and have listened to them countless times over the last 50 years. This isn't Elvis! Show me one official release by his record company that features this unreleased track. You can't because there isn't one, and that's because it isn't Elvis. Whatever vocal/sound expert they used to prove this is Elvis should be fired for the fraud that he is. If this was Elvis then I, as an Elvis fan, would be glad to have another recording to add to my collection, so I have no other reason to highlight the fact that it isn't other than I know it's not Elvis, and any Elvis fan worth their salt would know it too.

I pray we will get to enjoy this wonderful song by Elvis . What a treasure that will be and to let you know just how much of a treasure it is ,my heart rate is about to explode and my temples are throbbing , my heart does its flip just like every time i listen to one of Elvis's songs. No imitator can cause that to happen to me. It is something I felt at the tender age of five years old and it happens only when Elvis sings! That is my Elvis !!!

That's Elvis but not from the mid-70's. He sounded like this in the early to mid-60's. I've been listening to (and collecting) Elvis since 1965. I've heard many impersonators and, to be honest, the best they'll ever do is almost come close. As soon as I heard the 1st line in this song, I knew it was Elvis. For those who doubt it, consider how much of the King's material must still be in the vaults of RCA that was never released.

If we could have heard enough of it we could have made a better decision but I think it's Elvis from the later 60's. I don't think this style was very popular mid 70's. I was and am a huge fan. Grew up listening to his music. Even got an autographed pic he sent me when I was 10 years old. I wrote to him thinking it wasn't really his address and really got an answer. One of my best life memories. 💖

I do believe this is Elvis. One thing we all need to remember, is the technology then in the 70's is not like it is today. The tape was stored for along period of time, but nevertheless, I do remember reading somewhere in a book that Elvis had a musician or someone close to him who had wrote a song for him to record. Elvis read it, and agreed to record it. I believe this is it and the name mentioned sounds familiar. But we all have the right to believe as we wish.

    • @JohnDeCarteretElvis
      @JohnDeCarteretElvis Před rokem

@@carolynstuart5901 Hi there. It's definately not Elvis, but one thing, I bet you're not as familiar with your own voice as you think. That is unless you've ever recorded it and played it back. It can really make you sit up, 'Is that really me, do I sound like that?
Not until you've heard your recorded voice can you honestly know what your voice actuyally sounds like. But as you said, you can tell Elvis' voice in an instant. Both speaking and singing. I doubt if the opening comment is that of the real Joe Espisito, otherwise he would have made a further comment, staing that it wasn't Elvis. But then again, he doesn't actually state that it is Elvis.
But, listening to it again, I'm gob smacked that the person who did the vocal comparison, declares it a match. Also, if you don't listen to the track, but to the noise; that isn't a cassette recording, it doesn't have the right background noise for a cassette, there is no hiss to begin with.
What noise there is sounds like it's a vinyl recording, not a cassette. How do I know this?
I undertake a lot of audio restoration, both cassette and vinyl among other formats and there is a distinct difference. You get tape hiss on a cassette and not crackle. Crackle is distinct to vinyl, unless a vinyl recording has been copied to cassette and then you'd get both.
And yes, you can limit the hiss on cassette by using a better quality cassette and ensuring a good volume level which will hide the hiss more, but it's still there. At the end of the day on that side, I'm no expert, but on the sound of that voice, that's not Elvis.
And to me there are numerous giveaways besides the voice. If it was a studio recording, recorded by Elvis in the seventies, it wouldn't be awash with reverb. Along with which, all Elvis' seventies recording sessions are highly documented. Not only that, they have recently been re-released, along with 'ALL' the unreleased material related to that session.
And again, if this was another private recording as Elvis has done in the past, there would be no reverb on the vocal and the whole recording would have only the ambience of the room. Could it be a recording that Elvis decided to do after a performance, just as unlikely and for the same reasons and the quality of the recording would be much higher.
No, all the distractions to me are basically there to make it more difficult to distinguish the vocal. And of cause, we don't get to hear the complete recording, we conveniently hear only the odd clip.
It's 100% a hoax in my honest opinion!

I believe it is Elvis. He may not have been doing a ot of recording, but that doesn't mean he wasn't doing any recording. He did record an Ablum right near the end of his life(Moody Blue) 1977, this sounds much like those recordings. Maybe this was never polished up enough to put on that album or maybe it was cut because of no room. Perhaps it was to be on a future album but sadly he passed away first.. But, I believe this is Elvis.

Nothing like Elvis' music. There will never be another entertainer like him. Sorry his private life was so messed up. But then again, a lot of entertainers are. Sad that prescription drugs and other health issues took him way too soon. I have been a Elvis fan a long long time and it sounds like him to me. Hopefully it can be produced and released. Would that not be awesome ?

Maybe you should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems, his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation.
Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis.
Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" h was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even.
Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew.
The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated.

Most people were not into impersnations of Elvis at this time as he pretty much was shocking the world with his voice. What little bet of the song a could hear sounded like Elvis to me.Am only 53 but my parents were big Elvis fans,I grew up watching my mother clean house, dancing to Elvis. And dad singing and recording real to real, songs of Elvis as I was in bed sleeping.I'd like to hear the song all the way threw to be sure.As John Lennon said (before Elvis there was nothing).he was one of a kind, and it stands to reason people try to sound like him, back then not so much, but they did comb there hair, and grow side burns like him.It was almost like Elvis was teaching the world how to sing, that is sing at a level that one could understand what was being said,in a wonderful pitch that was always pleasing to hear.

Alot of the guys in his stage band didn't record the songs in the studio. And this is most likely a rough demo so who knows who the players could have been. I'm sure it probably wasn't released because of the way Col Parker tried to rob the song writers of their publishing. He got away with in the early days but by the mid 60s when alot of stars were writing their own songs the songwriters would no longer give up much publishing on their songs because they learned how much money that could be made from royalties and stuff.

He didn't write many songs himself, but this has his fingerprints on it, in comparison to the others that we know he wrote. I reckon it was a tribute to the love of his life - Priscilla. He wouldn't have wanted to release it because she was long gone.

The guy doing the analysis is suppose to be an expert. So whether you agree with his opinion or not it doesn't matter because you AREN'T the expert unless you have the experience or credentials. And ultimatley, it will be his opinion that will carry "weight" in the matter.

So tell us, smart ass, why hasn't this new song been released by Elvis' record company as a new song? For one simple reason. IT ISN'T ELVIS! Who gives a shit about what an expert examining sound waves says? I've listened to Elvis over a 40-year period, and know every cadence and nuance of his voice, and this singer is not Elvis. For god's sake, are you dimwits who insist that this song is by Elvis that tone deaf? Well you'd have to be if you think this is Elvis. It's not released as an Elvis song because - **drum-roll** - it isn't Elvis. As an Elvis fan of many year's standing, why would I deny a new song by him if it were him? Because I know full well that it isn't.

The guy recorded so much stuff at his house or on the road anything is possible. I still think there are tons of gems from the 50s they never released but knew he did record. It is easy in my opinion to imitate older Elvis but early Elvis takes skill. This could be him but I think it is an impersonator. Still, with Elvis as always anything is possible.
