This is one of my two full rigs on a pedal board. The Quilter Superblock is a mighty, yet tiny tone monster of an amp. Perfect for me in any situation - Live or in the studio.
The Superblock UK does a good job of providing the kind of tones you'd likely get from a traditional Vox AC30 and a Marshall JMP type amplifier. Combined with a few overdrive and boost pedals it is capable of a wide variety of tones to carry me through a typical gig that requires me to cover songs from several genres of rock and pop music.
For someone like me, who needs a capable setup with minimal fuss setting up and tearing down, not to mention small and light, this is a dream rig for me and I have two of them. The other one being based around a Quilter Superblock US (more on that in another video).
Thanks for watching and enjoy.

In the left speaker is the mic'd up 1x8" Orange speaker in my ISO cab. Mic used is a Behringer MS-75.
On the right is an Impulse Response of my Tonetubby 1x10 Alnico Red cab.
Guitar is a 2008 Classic Vibe Strat.
I hv the same one but not understanding how to hook everything up
Sounding totally awesome Rob x
Thanks! I've already changed things... again! One big rig and one small rig. www.robcooke.net/
Very cool! I use mine in a similar way. I use less than than yon my board but we’re both getting killer tones!
Thanks. I had to restrain myself quite a bit to keep the board as simple as it is (if you can call it simple). I have another board with a Superblock US which is a little more loaded than this one, but this one is probably better for general gigging without too many distracting features.
I'm so close to buying a SB UK, how is it for volume live? Great sounding pedal board to fair play.
It is very capable, volume wise, but I would recommend a speaker of a higher sensitivity to ensure you'll be loud enough in certain situations. E.g. a 100dB. It depends on how far you are from the speaker cab yourself.
I play with the gain pretty high, so I don't go that clean. If you like the amp to stay clean then you might sometimes struggle with enough volume.
However, I would say that this is comparable with a Deluxe Reverb in terms of volume.
My new band often plays with an electronic drumkit, which is very quiet on stage... obviously. We played the first gig the other week and I was able to run the amp at 1w from the pedalboard supply with master at 1 o'clock. Plenty loud enough to hear myself on stage. (That was a Superblock US, which is not quite as loud as the UK IMO).
Awesome rig and demo! Have You ever played "line out" ? how does it sound n behave?
The line out is ok. I don't generally use it at home because I use my iso cab and the IR loader.
I have used the line out at a band rehearsal and it seemed to sound much better when played at a higher volume and in the context of the band mix, so I imagine it'll actually work pretty well on stage at gig volume.
I will at some point try that out.
How do you like the 1 watt setting? Im interested in using this as a low volume home amp. Maybe through a 12” cabinet. Would it be to loud?
It's very useable at 1w. I tried it at it's first soundcheck live and it was definitely not loud enough for that!
But at home and in the studio it's all I use. It is very loud at 1w if you're just playing at home in a normal to small-size room, but it can easily be turned down quiet enough to not bother anybody else.
Do you like the Quilter over the Hotone Britwind?
About one million percent yes. It's not even close.
