    - Album price: 9.99$ and its a good trade ( 9.99$ - hundreds hours good song)
I dont have any rights on this song. I'm just a big fan of them.
    LYRICS: "Exist"
Our truth is painted across the sky
In our reflection, we learn to fly
    No hand to hold us
No one to save us from tomorrow
Sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
    No light to follow
    A shot in the dark
    Does anybody know?
Sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
    High from the heavens
    I can't see the pain
    Does anybody care?
Think for a moment of all the lives
Stripped of their essence before their time
    We stand to conquer
But is there nothing left tomorrow?
I'm sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
    There's no light to follow
    A shot in the dark
    Does anybody know?
Sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
    High from the heavens
    I can't see the pain
    Does anybody care?
    [Neil DeGrasse Tyson:]
We have one collective hope: The Earth.
And yet uncounted people remain hopeless.
    Famine and calamity abound.
Sufferers hurl themselves into the arms of war.
People kill and get killed in the name of someone else's concept of God.
Dare we admit that our thoughts and behaviors spring from a belief that the world revolves around us?
Each fabricated conflict, self murdering bomb, vanished airplane,
Every fictionalized dictator, biased partisan and wayward son
Are part of the curtains of society's racial, ethnic, religious, national and cultural conflicts?
And you find the human ego turning the knobs and pulling the levers.
When I track the orbits of asteroids, comets, and planets,
Each one a pirouetting dancer in a cosmic ballet, choreographed by the forces of gravity,
I see beyond the plight of humans. I see a universe ever expanding
With its galaxies embedded within the ever-stretching, four-dimensional fabric of space and time.
However big our world is - in our hearts, our minds, in our out-sized atlases?
    The universe is even bigger.
There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on the world's beaches.
More stars in the universe than seconds of time that have passed since Earth formed.
More stars than words and sounds ever uttered by all humans who have ever lived.
The day we cease exploration of the cosmos is the day we threaten the continuance of our species.
In that bleak world, arms-bearing, resource-hungry people and nations
Would be prone to act on their low contracted prejudices,
And would have seen the last gasp of human enlightenment -
    Until the rise of a visionary new culture once again embraces the cosmic perspective;
A perspective in which we are one, fitting neither above, nor below, but within.

    The Timelapse of the Universe
    0:00-1:31 The almost empty universe
    1:31-2:20 The Big Bang
2:20-4:06 The constant yet instability formation of stars and exo planets
4:06-4:40 The formation of the Milky way. A place utterly insignificant and almost unregarded among the other millions
4:40-5:20 Earth formed and a part of us slips away forming the moon, which gravitates towards Earth. Forever then.
5:20-6:10 Our planet Earth revolving around it's axis, cooling down...
6:10-6:56 Water showering over Earth and the so thought Art begins
6:56-7:26 Evolution takes place from the first anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria to the hominids
7:26-11:45 Humans. The wannabe supreme beings reigns over. ( I sincerely do not know if this was a pretty neat idea) Till then, bask in with the final words of My Tyson.
11:45-15:40 ... "Until the rise of a new visionary culture, the cosmic perspective; a perspective in which we are one, fitting neither of the above nor below, but within."

It took me some getting used to but after a week or so of listening straight through and then listening each song individually at different times I'm finding myself unable to stop listening. for y'all guitarist out there, the acoustic section chords starting at 6:55 are the following A# - Am - Dm (x6 times) then the next figure is A# - Am - G - F - C - Dm.. that circle is used for the verses, now the chorus when he sings "I'm sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone" the chords are F - C - F - C then the change is A# - Am - C and then C - G - Am - G - Dm - Am - G. thats it :)

Firstly, what an absolutely incredible song. But it solidifies a thought I've had for a long while. Imagine what we could achieve if we focused our thoughts and all as a species pulled together to look beyond our planet and possibly solar system. Instead of fucking about with petty indiscretions towards each other, and just thinking of our own selfish desires.
We could do so much more. It's depressing to think about.

I am just in awe, its as if this album is a manifestation of my thoughts. I am sure others feel the same. A7X.

I've seen some confusion in the comments, so for those who don't know, Neil deGrasse Tyson wrote his speech at the end himself, specifically for this song, not M. Shadows. Tyson is that much more of a badass in my mind, knowing that he is also an A7X fan! Also, Brooks Wackerman is straight fucking awesome in this song, especially during the speech. 'Exist' might be my new favorite A7X, more so than 'A Little Piece of Heaven,' I can't stop listening to this song! \m/

NDT isn't an a7x fan unfortunately. They wanted a sound byte from an old TV show, but were denied the rights to use it. Tyson was their second choice. They approached him with the offer and Tyson asked if it would be for educational purposes or if anyone could learn from it, and avenged basically said that's what they want, and Tyson said if it will help educate someone or get them to learn then I'll do it. He has no affiliation with, or even knew who a7x was prior.

Is the middle part of the song (with lyrics) about the expanding universe?
"Sailing away beyond the reach of anyone" - as universe is expanding, more and more places become unreachable
"Far beyond the dreams of everyone" - because we can never know what's beyond the edge of the observable universe
"No light to follow" - everything beyond the edge is expanding away faster than the speed of light

I've been following them since City of Evil, and while I love and respect their previous and amazing albums, there's a magic, maturity, and awareness that leaves me in awe. M. Shadow's voice and the guitar virtuosity perfectly represent the conceptual idea that surrounds the album and really gives that surreal tone of the universe, existence, and life.

  • @xreplayzx117replayziscool6

I think this song sums up Avenged Sevenfold for a lot of people. Like someone will refer Avenged Sevenfold, they’ll act like they’re interested, but they’re not. Eventually they’ll cave in and look it up. The first part of the song is what they see, and it looks intriguing. Then the further they explore the more intense it gets and the better it sounds. Then finally, towards the end of the song, they decide that they’re going to get a tattoo of the Avenged Sevenfold Skull with wings and they show up to every live event and start creating their own t-shirts etc. xD, It’s kind of true for some people, like once they hear a song they start becoming interested, and then they listen to other songs, and that happens for a while, and then it becomes one of their favorite bands. To be honest the history of the band is pretty cool, and the fact that it’s fan base is growing larger everyday is awesome.
