I think it's more surprising that they chose the secondary character over the main character Ickus. Helga and Nigel are in the game over Arnold and Eliza but Arnold and Eliza are pacifists lol
This stage theme is incredible omg. Strange that we got Ah real monsters rep before Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron, but it seems like they aren't using the smash formula of more iconic characters having better chance of making it in. Oblina might get good ladder combo kills with that up B. Hard to tell how good she is because the level of play for her demo was definitely lower than say Spongebob or Danny.
Totally agree. I think he speed coupled with the neutral special will be super strong. Her heavy aerials were massive as well. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game !

AAH! Real Monsters is one of my favorite Nicktoons ever. So glad you guys put Oblina in this game , it was a genuine surprise to see her. I love the moveset and how it reflects the freaky stuff she used to do in the show. LOVE the Junkyard stage and the music. Really just knocked it out of the park with this character. I really hope Ickis can join in on the fun as DLC.
Oblina have everything for a fighting game, she is the best Gromble student, she is strong, she is smart, she is sassy but with a touch of elegance and flirtation :) , agree Ickis should be here too, he is like the leader main character, he can show that he is not only a cute bunny, he is maybe creepiest monster when he wants , the son of the great Slickis, he can be nervious at times but he can do everything for the ones he loves :) .

The music design for this level fits Aaahh!!! Real Monsters vibe perfectly ..... Even has the scream in there that sounds like it was directly from the show, but they changed it into an EDM/Trap remix variant at the start of the match.
Love that they didn't forget about AAH REAL MONSTERS! Might have not been as iconic as Ren and Stimpy or Rocko's Modern Life but it was one of the cooler shows in the 90's. Wish Ickus was in too though.

Oblina's neutral special seems pretty good for edge guarding. We still need the reveal trailers for the Avatar characters and the ones that are left for showcase are Powdered Toast Man, Zim, & Reptar, as well as the Avatar characters.
I was really surprised to see Ahhh! Real Monsters! Get any love as it always felt like one of the more obscure nick cartoons, albeit one I adored growing up. Apperently at least a few members of the dev team have been harboring secret love for this show too though. A strong seeming kit, the best stage theme so far, it very much looks like the show got some extra attention.
It was said that they might add voice clips in a later update. They were more focused on making solid gameplay for the start. I hope they do. It would add some much needed personality to the game
@@MostMorose The original voice actor might be gone (an unfortunate loss in the world of voice acting to be sure as well), but I say the best option I could see for a new voice actor for Oblina would be the voice actor for Bayonetta. I really think she could get pretty dang close with some practice. Take Bayonetta's voice, make it a little less breathy, with a slightly tighter restriction on the throat, and it's pretty close to Oblina.
I think Oblina has potential for High tier at worst, because she has a lot of attributes that generally make a character strong good mobility recovery mix up good projectile (if they have one) quick moves Like so far she seems to be the most mobile character, and while she lacks range even top tiers like Pika, Peach and Sheik (depending on the game) also lacked range, but their attributes still made them top contenders. Oblina seems to be this games answer to Pirahana Plant and Sheik. She has Sheik's speed and short range, but has a projectile that damages when you walk into it. And the wheel recover cancel will be interesting to explore. Of course anything does as far as speculation after pre-release thoughts, so could be wrong in the future. Who knows.
Oblina now is my favorite character, her model, attacks and animations are so gorgeous, I wasn't expecting to be so good, and her stage is beautiful and got a music that fits perfectly with it

I don’t think I watched Oblina’s show as a kid, so I don’t have much of a nostalgic attachment to her. That said, her gameplay looks really cool! I may have to rethink who I want to main. Oh, and the stage music is great too.

Never watched ahh real monsters or knew who Oblina was. When Nick All Stars was announced, I saw and loved her character design so much I vowed that I was gonna be an Oblina main when this comes out

This character is about as unlikely as Nigel Thornberry in the fighting scene. I hope to see her pals Krumm and Ickis as assist characters if possible. Krumm can unleash stench clouds from his armpits obscuring the stage while Ickis runs off as he is summoned, but then reappears in his giant form and roars at us as another distraction. Also, I thought the way Oblina pulls out her guts could be a cool attack.
I watched a lot of 90s reruns, grew up with the 2000s shows and check up on the 2010s content but she was the only character beside Toast Man I knew nothing about it. I’m glad she got in, more rosters need more unexpected choices like this.

I don’t think I watched Oblina’s show as a kid, so I don’t have much of a nostalgic attachment to her. That said, her gameplay looks really cool! I may have to rethink who I want to main.
Oh, and the stage music is great too.
AAH Real Monsters is a 90's gem. Very underrated.
Finally, a character I could see myself using. I like that toxic waste projectile. She's super mobile too.

Never watched ahh real monsters or knew who Oblina was. When Nick All Stars was announced, I saw and loved her character design so much I vowed that I was gonna be an Oblina main when this comes out

This character is about as unlikely as Nigel Thornberry in the fighting scene. I hope to see her pals Krumm and Ickis as assist characters if possible. Krumm can unleash stench clouds from his armpits obscuring the stage while Ickis runs off as he is summoned, but then reappears in his giant form and roars at us as another distraction. Also, I thought the way Oblina pulls out her guts could be a cool attack.

I watched a lot of 90s reruns, grew up with the 2000s shows and check up on the 2010s content but she was the only character beside Toast Man I knew nothing about it. I’m glad she got in, more rosters need more unexpected choices like this.
