Great review. The AA in mAAd can emphasize the African American experience. This whole album, including the voicemails is a peak in the life of African Americans who are good kids in mAAd metropolitan cities-fighting peer pressures, master splinters daughters, racial profiling, etc. each song gives different glimpse of stories from the hood.
Dot also said that M.A.A.D. stood _My Angels on Angel Dust_ and _My Angry Adolescence Divided…_ Just pure genius.
Good interpretation but it was said to mean My angels on angel dust and my angry adolescence divided. 😭😭 this comment is a little embarrassing because it was so confidently wrong

Congratulations on being able listening to this Masterpiece for the 1st time.Seeing you really connect to the deeper themes in the songs was dope. GKMC came out at a time when I was really on that same journey of reflection about my adolescence that it centers around. Theres a rare bonus Track called “County Building Blues” you should listen to. Also Jay Rock verse on “Money Trees” is a top 5 all time feature. You should react to Jay Rock’s album 90059
Came to this video with 0 expectations but this was a way better review that anticipated.

Good overall reaction. Your reaction to "Sing About Me/Dying of Thirst" was the same as mines the first time I heard it. I listened to this album repestedly for years, and still caught new things I missed. That's how excellent the writing and stprytelling is here. Kendrick's a very layered artist. Rarely is alotta his sh## surface level.

The Art of Peer Pressure beat is actually from one of the biggest danish rap groups called Suspekt. They have a song called "Helt Alene (feat. Tina Dickow)" that has the beat. Tabu is the name of their record label. The name of the guy who produced it is Rune Rask, he does all their production.

Bro you gotta do To Pimp A Butterfly next. In my opinion and most, it's one of the best, if not the best, hop-hop album of all time. Not only is it musically brilliant, but tells a beautiful and intriguing story of him gaining fame/money, then learning the true demons of the music industry. he doesn't know how to deal with it so he retreats to Africa for a few months where he rediscovers himself. "I remember you was conflicted..." ;)
