Amazing place to visit. I really enjoyed my time in Phuket. The people, the restaurants, etc. It's a great place to visit. I think most funds are spent on the housing or hotel. Other than that, I thought it was reasonable.

In other words…..avoid Phuket like the plague. Patong looks absolutely terrible: overrun with hordes of loud foreigners and most everything is overpriced. Thanks for posting this. Travel plans have been changed accordingly.

Hotels in Phuket are really cheap in june, makes me wanna go. I like low season. 2 weeks in a good hotel close to Bangla Road for 250-300euro in total

It is not but of you follow the budget tips it might save a lot

Depends where...generalisations are fine but often offer little insight...Phuket Town might not be as cheap as Northern Thailand but it's cheaper than somewhere like Pattaya for food and offers so much more imo...And then there's Soi Nanai in Patong - Cheap as for booze and food eg beers for 49 baht in at least 2 restaurants I know of, but shhh,don't tell everyone😜
