      TheEmanExperience WAY! haha. David mentioned it during this very show. Saying that it most definitely will come back but only for a short season. I'm thinking similar to 24 coming back after a few years for a short 12 episode season. He mentioned it during the 'after the show' viewer question time.

    I'm always amazed that some vegetarians are so absolutist. I am now a vegetarian, but I wasn't always. For a while, I used to eat fish. Before that, I was ok with meat if someone invited me over for supper, but I would never make it for myself. Small steps, people. If you insult people who are making an effort you'll just alienate them.

    A whole lot of Top Comments from self-centred people here.
    Let me explain the situation to you:
    His (and our philosophy) is based on RESPECT. We are not saying that you must all become vegetarian (even if it would benefit everybody). We are just saying that we should be more humble and be respectful. Mass producing meat does not give us the right to torture, nothing does.
    So just take a step back. Stop thinking like a 5 year old. And think about whether you could be more respectful and fair to the world around you.

    • @iRushil
      @iRushil Před 8 lety

      MadelineTopper Don't worry, it's exactly my view too. I love my meat but I would also love to become vegetarian. I eat less meat through the years and it feels great. Also I enjoy my meat even more when I make it something special.
      And on top of it all, I know that I am doing something positive; for animals and the environment :)

    I absolutely get Duchovny. I am absolutely pro-vegan, agree with Idea, I am 6 days a week meat free. Still don´t have the strenght to take it to another level. But i teach my kids to be grateful for the life animal had to gave up, to give person strenght, therefore we dont waste animal products and we don´t over use them in our diet. Vegetable needs to be basic of our diet.

I see it the same as the death penalty, if you really believe in taking a life YOU have to be able to do the deed yourself. (I dont believe in the death penalty btw.)

    I think the worst part about veganism/vegetarianism is the mixed up arguments. So are you arguing from a moral stance or a practical stance? Seperate them so that we can understand each other for fuck's sake. I think all moral veganism is *wrong* but I think some of the practical applications are *right.*

      morality is also a personal thing nobody gets to say we're wrong for valuing animal lives more, you can only say it's wrong for you where you are at this point in time.

    You like money? Yes. You like sex? Yes. You like eating meat? If I asked if you wanted to be part of a robbery ring that easily stole from innocent people you didn't know, you'd say "no". But I thought you liked money? If I asked wether you want to be part of a sex group that drugs women and takes advantage of them, you'd say "no". But I thought you liked sex? If I asked wether you wanted to be part of a group that enslaves, artificially rapes, and kills innocent animals for food? You'd say "(enter excuse here"

    i love meat and you're kidding yourself if you think humans shouldnt eat it we're omnivores. but i also think the food industry has gotten out of hand. so much shipping back and forth of produce instead of everyone eating local fresh food. we wouldnt have nearly as many animal cruelty issues if food,of all kinds not just meat, was produced locally and was properly regulated.

      It's unbalanced, the demand for meat it is way out of proportion to what was naturally in our diet, we can thrive without it completely unlike a lot of species but any effort to reduce it is totally worthwhile. Even if that is just a reduction to roughly the balance we evolved to eat it would help so many areas, health, deforestation, climate.

    Sorry people, but legally animals don't have rights. We do have laws governing how we treat them, called animal welfare laws. That is far different from giving them rights, and no, they shouldn't have any. Otherwise that would legally put eating meat on par with cannibalism, and slaughtering an animal, murder. The Canadian Criminal Code defines murder as culpable homicide. "Homi" coming from the Latin "Hominidae" which is just Latin for human. Therefore taking a life outside of the genus, is not murder. Unless of course you're a part of the new world paganic animism, that considers eating meat as murder. It is very much like a religion. Bill should see through that. Factory farms are the response to an overpopulated world. The more vegans there are, the more cheaper the meat is for me.

    I'm confused. How do you write a book about animal rights and still eat steak? How do you talk about the connection of agriculture and the environment and than make a joke about ordering a hamburger? I'm sorry this is a horrible interview and these guys have no business talking the talk when they don't walk the walk.
