Thank you for uploading this beautiful hymn. I did a little reading about Rev. George Matheson, the hymn writer, and apparently he was blind and wrote this song on the night before his sister's wedding. He was being painfully reminded of the girl who had broken off their own engagement because Rev. Matheson was going blind. How appropriate, then, to write of Christ's love that will never let us go, and by which we receive that richest, fullest life that we were created to enjoy!
