Sheah and I film for the first time in the field to show you guys what it is really like out here on the grind. We are starting this channel to film our progress and teach direct sales by showing you directly! Subscribe if you want more infield footage of selling solar or roofs door to door!
This is a good look into what selling solar door to door is actually like. You will see us do our pitch on the door and how to overcome some common objections.
âWe weâre just chatting with your neighbor super friendly I think heâs gonna sign upâđđhad me dead
Wasnât he lying?
that shit was so funny hahahah
The best part đđđ
LMAO fr
Lmao
That is exactly how sales happen !! I love door to door itâs the best feeling to walk with another sales partner and get rejected and make jokes and stay positive and move on to the next unphased! Yâall did great đ good job đ the last guy is a sale for sure with the non fluctuating payments it made sense for him
where are you from? doing d2d sales???
That's exactly what I thought, going with a partner would make it so much easier and a better situation. My managers swore that's how it would be and now I'm being pushed out to go alone and I'm totally lost. I am trying to learn as much as I can.
Haha totally, I remember getting throw out of a store one time with one of my reps & we just made hella jokes after to cope with the awkwardness but all by yourself fucking sucks though not gonna lie đđ
@@lindsayprice4848itâs so much easier, I use to go out with my reps I had to do pitches to business owners & when you go with someone else itâs way fucking less stressful, more fun and you can have someone help you if you slip up which leads to closing more sales, and give each other feedback!
Keep this stuff coming. Iâve searched so much for this kind of content and thereâs so much fluff in door to door training online. I love this raw content. I subscribed and look forward to future content.
Glad to hear it! We feel the same way about the door to door space.. a lot of talk and not enough demonstration. Don't worry, we'll keep making more!
same here
Bro I agree. Iâm so sick of the bill crap pitches and acronyms. This was great. Nice to see others getting beat up like me. The sales will come though
I lost it when you guys said "we're actually putting oil rigs on roofs."
Nice work. Honest content
Bro this is awesome !! Takes courage and a strong mindset to get through those doors and rejections !! Great video ! Keep it up guys đđŒ
Working for solar currently, i really appreciate yâall showing the rejections as well as the successful leads. Most videos Iâve watched tend to show you only the good side of the business. The reality is youâre bound to face rejection after rejection. You gotta keep moving forward however, this market is it for everyone but with time improvement comes and so does success đŻ
Great ass video, I just started sales this month and was feeling nervous about doing door to door experience. It seems like it's a hit-or-miss experience but it is nice knowing some people stop to take time out of their day to hear your pitch.
We have more content coming up so stay tuned!
Man, I just started knocking doors about two weeks ago and the pitch they gave me is a total âsolar vomit.â I really like the way you guys put it into words. Thanks for the video!
How's it going for you now? Ci sidering starting this in a week. Any feedback/advice?
I will get you 15 to 20 leads every month and you don't have to pay us until we get you that many leads.

Always good to see different angles to approach the doors. And will do, we got more on the way!
Hey where do U canvass ?
My question is how do i contact you
Jenni torres And not for no business
Great job! I love how they put the angry person in. Also when he said âweâll get out of your hairâ to the guy with no hair đ
Had so much fun watching this. I door knocked for years. Best way to get infront of buyers!! Keep killing it guys!
You're guys' attitudes are great man. You gotta be goofy and keep your attitude up! Good shit, keep crushing it boys!!
I like how you did this and itâs legit , I love the guy that wanted be in your training video !
Love how its âhow are you doing todayâ (like a salesman) instead of âwhatâs your nameâ or âwould you like to save money on your energy?â Getting straight to the point or asking âhow long have you been living hereâ then âhow long do you plan on living hereâ to even qualify the prospect
The last guy, the mechanical engineer was so cool and friendly. Good for you to meet nice people!
Thanks for this content. It gives me some motivation to go and sell window cleaning services. I have to remind myself to speak slow and calm.
when you have literature it lets you move closer to the client and stand side by side with them instead of head on which is more confrontational
Love how you make it clear you arent selling anything today and just trying to get people interested
I completely understand and relate with that man needs so much protection and why we all do to keep creating businessman off of our doors but the only cool thing he did was tell them to put him in their training video!!!
He was right that's some damn good training for anybody in customer service or sales
Yeah that was awesome to see.
This was brutal to start! Tough crowd, but yeah helps to have a partner and way to find them!
Hahah exactly! Knocking with a partner probably decreases efficiency by like 10%, but increases the amount of time that you knock and increases your mood. So, all in all, seems like a net benefit.
Well me personally I don't like Cavassing with a partner because I can get more personal with the customer and the customer can feel like they're leveling with one person rather than two. With two it just scambles their mentality too much
I was sweating the whole time watching this video. Great kudos to your initiative and courage.
Your pitch around 4:30 min in and 11 min in were fire. Great work! Good energy and cadence. Keep up the great work!
âTheyâre number 2, weâre number 1.â đđđ comedy . Loving the content fellas
I really like this format! Would love to see more like this!
It's interesting watching all the people in the comments give you guys advice. Getting four in one day is fantastic. Statistically one will sell
Wicked content! I have been doing D2D in solar for a month now. I haven't had ANY LUCK...But I can sell in the home. Because of this video I can feel confident about going back out there on the doors. I literally almost quit.... you guys are beasts.
Love to hear it! Keep grinding out there! You usually start getting success right as you're about to quit!

Jeez ---- i have so much respect for you door knockers... Couldn't do it myself tbh - digital doorknocking all the way for me. Keep it up! The world is grateful!
How do you go about the "digital door knocking"? I'm looking for ways to make appointments without doing solely d2d.
Not sure how accurate it is, but I read that solar can increase homeâs value by 2%.
Door knocking takes a lot of courage and you guys did great. Kudos.
Thanks for making this videos guys! Very instructional! Loved it!
This video is nostalgic as door to door sells was my vary first job besides photography and film production. I traveled to South Carolina from Florida to do sells and I posted pond the job after I got back, I was overwhelmed, and wasn't that educated didn't know what I was truly getting myself into, this was before May I left but I return in October with my crew again and thus time I'm more prepared mentally and physically for long hours and weeks on the doors. Bs I turn 20 this month so yah
Love this! Glad you enjoyed the video
Very helpful thanks! But correct me if Iâm wrong, Sunrun is actually number one
Nice work from a fellow solar warrior over here. Only critique is you saying that the government will give them a check as an incentive which we know is not true. I know you did it because he said he was selling but thatâs why people say itâs a scam because reps explain the incentive as a rebate which it isnât. Itâs a tax credit.
I miss selling solar I had tons of fun it's all I became who I am and invested into myself salute đŻ
@TaintedCheese I still go door to door check the channel
Did it pay well ?
Anyone in Australia? Thinking of doing it
The mechanical engineer sees where itâs all going, really glad to see that
those 1st 2 are some tough ones to push past. Good to have a partner to laugh it off. Prob best to not mention words like pitch or sell, and to bring up some pain points & ask questions before mentioning the solar topic, which can give them enough info to think they can make a decision (usually to tell you to kick rocks)
I've done solar pitching for V3 Electric and there's probably no other company in the solar industry with such in-depth pitch practice training. They hire you as an independent contractor but they don't let you work your own schedule. You MUST attend their training sessions every Mon-Sat, you are also expected to review their training materials on a regular basis as well as read their Audible sales books.
Today I now work for a solar brokerage which is much smaller than V3 (they have over 8 offices in CA alone), but make 3x more money and am partnered with the largest solar financers and top rated installers. I work my own hours now, while owning and running a business on the side.
V3 Electric paved my way to success, if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Solid info, and great job at handling objections.
Much appreciated!
Most genuine and valuable vid I've seen.
hey man, I know this is random, but I work for a solar company, and if you live in the U.S. and are the right fit, were adding entry level sales reps to our team, I can hook you up with an interview if you're down.
I am starting my solar sales job this coming Tuesday. I appreciate the video and will use this as a learning tool. Both of you have great personalities for the job and keep up the good work!
Awesome man! Great to hear and bring on your inner beast in Solar SalesđȘđȘ
Great content but I'd consider this door-to-door APPOINTMENT SETTING. Still good to see and maybe newer door knockers can take some knowledge from this. I wish there were videos like this that actually showed an entire sales process. My guess is these guys set their own appointments OR they set appointments for the sales team where a rep will come to the house and have some 2+ hour presentation with an aggressive close.
IF you guys are setting the appointments for yourselves, can you make a video of how your closing goes?
We got some coming on the way!
dude trying get people interested in solar was the funnest job i ever had .lol it was ruff but its all about the vibe.
The second one got me weak! đđ they be so unhappy I love knocking the no soliciting

hows the sales goin mate
@@DrivenByLuckGaming Unfortunately never started with the company. Unfortunately due to my background check they rescinded my offer of employment. Only thing that annoyed me was they never informed me that they were pulling my offer, until I was a week away from being laid off and was asking my supposed new manager for any paperwork I could fill out to move my onboarding on a bit faster. Sucked a lot, was projected to make a lot of money there, too.
I learned a lot from your guys video thank you for posting ,I sell solar in Virginia Beach.

Did you get the job? How is it going?
Great video, guys. Question: I see one of the people you knocked mentioned violating city ordinance for soliciting. Does your team acquire door to door solicitors permits for each community you knock in? What does that process look like?
Thanks! So it really depends on the municipality, but most places do not require a specific permit. And even if there is a mean homeowner who calls the cops, as long as you are nice to the police theyâll just ask that you go to the next neighborhood over. Weâve never seen anyone ever get a ticket đđŒ
thanks for showing me how to exclude what doesn't and does work and I truly mean thanks,.
Great video! You guys crushed it!
I could immediately tell that last guy was an engineer. They always sound like they want to teach YOU something lol. I always pander to their ego by using phrases like "Which I'm sure you're fully aware of this already but..." or "I know you already know this but this is just kind of my spiel"

You were doing so good! Donât say that
More of this, this is awesome
Working on the next one right now! Sub if you want to see more!
There's a bit here that you guys can do to improve your sales and to reduce your time at homes with people not interested. From the first interaction it sounds like you are super lethargic and don't want to be there. You aren't engaging them in the conversation at all, "How are you doing today?" "Do you have a few minutes?" Get them to say yes to listen to you and what you have to offer man! The guy at 3:20 is a perfect example. He had no idea what in the world you are talking about for minutes. You just jumped into talking about a bunch of things without buy-in.
I would start even stronger with the benefits and to ask them more questions to see where they are at in the process. Saves time and energy.
You are saying they don't have to authorize you recording them since it's for training purposes... but then you put them on CZcams for everyone to see. I really admire the effort and everything but be careful with that!
Keep going!
Good positioning of the information.
Just criticism but, I felt like you kept sparking interest. And then, talking your way right back out.
Keep it up man. Good luck!
Man, those houses look nice as hell.
This is the best solar content on CZcams! Keep it coming, I need more content!
Where can I follow you guys on social?
Keep up the good work guys, Iâm selling down in Florida and am trying to soak up all the info I can before I head out!
Hi I just got an offer in Florida as a door salesperson for a solar company. I am so scared of not succeeding. To make matters worst, I just graduated with a Bachelors degrees in Marketing. Please Iet me know if I should run for the hills? đ€
@@mindys.4632 I've loved the company I work with! Message me on insta if you have questions :) @kadenhart
You can knock no soliciting signs if you have the license. Itâs not illegal idk why people get so timid about it.
And you sir are the reason for me making alot of money
Solar adds value to property, couldâve used that on the 3rd guy
I just get an interview job for solar panels sales representative , your video just solved me .

Great job guys.
This is a wonderful tape
I may be selling solar panels soon, so I'm looking for good examples on which to model my own approach. I think these guys are pretty good at what they do with the most important quality being that they don't give off a 'salesman vibe.'
You guys should clean up your appearances and wear company logo shirts and knock with your iPads to look more official.Other than that you have a strong sales pitch.
Hi Justin are you a solar salesman?
@@mindys.4632 yes I work for Vivint a Sunrun company
Of you can wear a construction vest
That's one strategy. Also not looking like salespeople and showing up in work clothes works too
@@austinhodgkinson6001 exactly what i was going to say...people hate being sold why wear a logo especially with d2d when your walking to someone's home and knocking lol
âHave you read any literature on that?â I love it đ
gang gang, ty for the inspiration and integrity gents,
" Essentially, my name is john, and Essentially this is shay, Essentially I couldn't sell you solar today if i tried.
But essentially i can get you a report that essentially has a design and essentially i can essentially be essential and essentiualize a report for you tomorrow.... essentially. "
Lol just bustin your chops bud,
all in good fun tho!
Just a friendly tip to try out guys... when they open the door give a warmer, louder and happier greeting!
I did roofing sales, very similar concept.. This way of " pitching and reeling" is the worst. I sold more roofs on just being honest and short to the point.." Hi i am Blank from Blank, do you have any interest in Solar panels?" If not ask they why? then counter with the reason how it is more efficient energy and financially in 30 seconds! , if they cant grasp that simple concept they have no interest. You have to think as if you are the home owner.. DO i really want to talk to a stranger who is going to pitch me as long as i have my door open? or would i be more acceptable to a 5 second question. Talking over the homeowner you are just wasting your time and the home owners. If you need to go on a 5 mins lecture to convince them they were not interested in the first min.
Appreciate the feedback. I also did roofing sales for awhile. IMO roofing is a bit of different sale. Itâs simpler so you can get to the point quicker. Funny that you commented this though because we are making a video where we try selling solar in the most direct upfront way possible to test it.
Yeah thatâs how I feel Iâm going to be. Like you either want the product or not I ainât got time to try and convince you to do something thatâll benefit you.

It depends on the neighborhood. In a nice area like this all the meters and roof are brand new since they are new builds. Also no one is going to have bad credit in this area.
My parents have sun run, they didnât have to lease or finance the panels. They referred me to go with them when I brought up solar for my gfâs parents house. Do you guys by chance have the same program as Sunrun?
Hey, hit up @thewolfofsolar on Instagram and weâll be able to help you out
I did some sales at a normal job before and I would get some really disrespectful and negative people that would yell at me or curse etc. Never understood that, some people are so unwilling to just have a conversation or say a simple no thanks
I live in the Denver area and we have door to door salespeople who will continue on their pitch after being told no multiple times and that weâre not interested. Solar panel companies have always been nice and understanding about it but the pest control ones will continue on their pitch as we are shutting the door. They refuse to take no for an answer so the only answer is to shut the door on them.
And I never ask if their interested, lol so many mistakes in this video. What I would say is, âcool so we have a few openings for Tuesday at 3 or 5 which one works betterâ? Itâs a option close, it doesnât give them a way out.
