    So true! If only there was a VU meter with a DBFS meter as well

    VUMT meter does have a little led indicator that tells You that the peak is going above -6 dBFS(it's set to -6 dBFS by default but You can change this on the settings) and the right numeric reading is Your peak. Hope this helps.

    Dude thanks so much, I thought my ears were deceiving me. I knew that my drums were leveled & if I hit the 0 on the VU they were way to loud. VU is still a game changer, but you have to trust your ears.

    Yeah percussion will do this. And sharp vocal yelps too

    Put a gain plugin before other plugins and after and this problem is solved.

    vu meter don't work on drums i think, cuz the percussive dynamic

    ok so back in the Days … how the Mixing Engineers did gain the Kick , Snare or Toms in the Analog World ? without a later come dBFs Meter ? would be interesting to know :)
