What is meant for you will be for you. I have experienced this many times. My first apartment had everything I wanted from a fireplace, a screened in balcony, walking closet, spacious bathroom, open concept kitchen, new carpet, off white walls. My move was smooth and the boxes practically unpacked themselves because there was a place for everything.
My car I wrote down what I wanted including the features I wanted including that I didn’t want a car note. Years later I was gifted a car and while going through some decluttering I came across the list of what I was praying for and realized it is what I currently have! Every detail and no car note. I didn’t get it when I wanted I got it when I needed it most. God is good and God does provide. Reflecting on his goodness will remind you that he is faithful.
I just said this to my mom two days ago. I truly believe that the Holy Spirit downloaded this into my heart. How else will you identify your future spouse if you don’t start praying for them now, there won’t be a way to identify them as an answered prayer when God brings them your way. I guess whoever’s discouraged just take that as confirmation start praying specifically what you want and hope for in life generally. The job that I just started working maybe three weeks ago was exactly what I prayed for like. Exactly what I prayed for. It’s just another example that I can share here in the comments how God is willing and able to answer your prayers to the T
Deborah let me just say this video was THE ANSWER to a prayer I prayed a couple days ago. I’m praying for a job and I recently got an offer but when I tell you that it’s just felt wrong and heavy from the very start 🥲 I was a little nervous about not taking it bc I know my parents (who aren’t Christian) are going to say I’m being picky or even lazy 😩 but I know that the Lord is telling my loud and clear what you said in this video “the devil will try to give you the counterfeit right before you get the real” 🙌🏼 I’m going to keep believing and using specific prayer for the best job for me
Girl this happened to me! I was applying to all these jobs doing interviews only to end up getting a red stop sign from the Lord. He eventually told me to stop and embrace where He has me now. I know your story is different but you are not alone! Keeping having crazy faith and He will deliver!!!
Wow the fact that Jesus wasn’t able to do miracles because people’s unbelief sometimes goes over my head! Sometimes you’re in the way of your miracle 🤯
Sister thank you for encouraging us every week with these faith talks. I’m slowly coming out of a period of sadness because I prayed with my whole entire faith but my situation kept getting worse, I felt so lonely and broken. I’m trying to be expectant again and persevere in faith that everything our father does is for our good even if we don’t see it yet.

The Lord got me started on a journal habit just this past week. He used a picture on Pinterest of a girl in a scene that just made me so wistful as I stopped and look at it a bit. The Holy Spirit used that moment to tell me He wants to change my life to make the dreams I've had (and discarded over time) a reality, simply out of love for me and in response to my love for Him. But He said He wants me to remember how i felt right now at this point in my life so I can praise Him with clear evidence of His hand on my life and the growth He's about to take me on.
Some days and feelings are SO hard to journal smh but I feel His gentle guidance all through it.

When I was looking for a new apt a leasing agent called me about a unit but I didnt remember applying at this place. It was in 2020 so I couldnt see it in person so she facetimed me and walked through the apt. I KNEW it was only God who sent this apt to me. It had everything I prayed for and more. I was about to sign for a 2nd floor apt but it was already rented out so she asked me if I could take the 3rd floor unit in another bldg site unseen since someone was still living there. When I signed the lease and she walked me through the unit I was floored how much better it was from what I originally asked for and it had a free washer & dryer - which I never asked for! God will give you what you asked for and more but you have to have faith. I am now in a house and I know God blessed me with it because I was specific on what I was looking for and he answered my prayer! Pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 🙏

I don’t know how to put this or rather how to put the testimony but last Week we spoke about setting a stage for,waiting for a sign from God and I did go to a weekend fast today is Monday 01:20am when I tell you that on Sunday 23:45 I got the notification I’ve been longing for this year🥹 I can see Jesus come through for me and my family🥹 I remember the scripture when He said that there are some demons that you can’t drive out if it’s not by prayer and fasting…💗🥹 man I love how God allows you to interpret and to encourage us with your platform.
If I continue I’ll talk and talk and talk,the only thing I want to say is that GOD IS ENOUGH FOR YOU,CAST OF YOUR BURDENS TO JESUS 💗

thank you so much for this video I really needed this. I'm currently a high school senior and the university I want to go to has me on their waitlist and I've been fasting and praying but still being guard to not be hurt if I'm declined. I was also using "let your will be done" as a safety net. I need to have faith and just blindly follow God and belive in my prayer to get accepted into this school. ❤

Sheesh, I am in tears sis! I’ve been praying with the “let your will be done” safety net mentality. I’m going to try and pray with specific things in mind and with radical faith. I do wonder though, what context would “let your will be done” be used in? Thanks Deborah 🤎✨

Although, I disagree about your comment about praying God's will, I think it's especially helpful to those that are still learning to walk in the Spirit. Our prayers do have power and sometimes the Lord will give us SOME things out of His will and timing if we are persistent enough. Ive heard enough testimonies to that effect and so I'm careful about what I pray, although lately it has become easier and easier. I still to this day pray for His will every day and it makes me feel wonderful. It turned from praying from a sense of uncertainty about what was best for me to a prayer of absolute confidence in His will and judgement in my life. I see everything good that happens in my life as a result of His hand in it. I'm often blown away by it.
Not saying that specificity isn't great, though, I agree it's awesome to see answered prayers. But (more a personal problem) I have a hard time praying specific prayers of physical things for myself other than enough funds to be of blessing to others. Not because I think it's wrong, but b/c I'm the type of person that stopped wanting things for myself as a result of being disillusioned when I was in the world. Some of this mentality is good, but there may be a bit I need to heal, I'm just not particularly sure how to untangle that part of myself. I may just have to leave that whole mess to the Lord and pray He cuts away the tangle if necessary. Proverbs 13:12 says "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." Reflecting on this now I think I got heart sick one too many times that I subconsciously believed the lie I'm not the type of person whose life can go smoothly. That suffering is my portion and that good things will always be marred by evil one way or another, if you don't have it can't be taken away from you. It's a defeatist attitude I've been battling with the Word. That coupled w/ trying to remove the desire to not be seen as failure by others (b/c it leads to seeking validation from people) has me at a Catch 22.
Thanks for this video, I'm going to consciously put this before the Lord. And anyone else in this same boat, give it to the Lord.
On a positive note, what I have noticed is that if you're like me, seeking the kingdom first is accidentally easier. So... silver linings I guess lol
John Mark Comer has so many good books!! Highly recommend!! I’m currently reading though “practicing the way” it’s all about being an apprentice of Jesus and it’s really good so far! It gives you such a different perspective on Christianity and faith that really opens your eyes!

Hi Deb! This is so refreshing to hear. The part where you said to write down your prayers stuck with me. I have a bible study journal where I use the SOAP method and pray the scripture I read transform my life so that I can be the daughter Abba wants me to be for His glory. Then I pray it out aloud.
I am in the process of moving and have been house hunting & viewing places for a while now. I have also been praying for His will to be done in this. I am taking a queue to write this specific prayer for house hunting. I wish to do a prayer walk/march like Joshua & the Israelites did for the wall of Jericho for a particular apartment just like you did but the tenant who is moving out is still there and I’m scared that if I do it, I might be seen as a creepy stalker casing the apartment. 😟

I am scared or ashamed to ask for specific things and will just say to God to lead me where He is leading me. I don't know if that has something to do with my faith or not.
God always wants you to ask for bigger than yourself. God is a limitless God. Nothing you ask for is too big. Go into prayer with expectation !! God will do everything he said he will do ! He’s a man of his word. If it is in his will for you, it will be done and all for his glory ! ❤️

I thank God for your videos. I’ve been through I think two “faith talks” and it has been eye opening. I pray for that from God daily, that He would give me eyes to see and ears to hear. I’m believing in Him and no one else! My church is going through a series about doing the greater things that Jesus mentions in Matthew and your telling of the guy on the plane is exactly that. I’ve also been that person to add “But Your will be done” to my asking as a scapegoat of sorts but not anymore because I never thought about it like that. As we seek God, He changes our hearts and desires to match His so of course He’s going to do it and He’s not going to withhold any good things from us. 🩷 thank you for being His mouthpiece!
