    There is a great FREE plug in from Blue Cat (gain suite) that can help you out with panning as well .-D You can determine what side to gain while the other remains at the same db. I will copy the link in another message just in case youtube automatically blocks the message.

    Don't forget people. Collapsing to mono the low part in izotope (or any thing similar) won't fix or reduce phasing, mono compatibility issues. All it will do is apply the issue to your stereo mix, as well as your mono mix.

    I may be missing some episode (cause I haven’t watched them all... yet...), but have you ever made a talk about how mobile and flexible are your performances? What do you take to the trip (like, a bunch of USB thumb drives with music? your laptop with Recordbox/Engine Prime? whole Denon set?), what do your require to be present in your tech rider (do you request the Denons to be available? what if the previous DJ uses the Pioneers? how do they do a smooth switch without stopping the music?), and what can you adapt to (no Denons? that’s bad, but well let’s do it on Pioneers)? How does it vary depending on the scale of the performance (like, a gig in a club versus a huge festival)?
    For me it is just a curiosity, but it may be rather useful for real starting DJs.

    So just recently watching your Mashup Vlog...again. I was wondering if you can do a part 2 because that was basically just for putting an acapella on it. How do you do mashups for shows were you have more than one track on top of each other, bringing in certain elements from one track to the track being played to indicate a change coming, changing the bass from the current track and bringing in the bass from the track about to drop, etc. Also, how do you setup your radio show with your tracks, do you do it on a DAW or live, and how do you change tracks within the mix? Thanks Luke!

    Hey Luke could you elaborate a bit on producing in mono? Does that mean you put a mono plugin on each chain to produce like on the synths etc. ? Also, I assume once your levels are right then you inject a stereo element and so do you just insert a panning plugin and leave the mono plugin still there? And then at the end as you mentioned in the video, you use ozone. Also, so that means when you are layering synths, you don’t focus on the panning of synths until they sound good in mono?
    Thanks! If anyone could help me out it would be appreciated! Always heard about producing in mono but always wondered what it really meant.

    Lowend should always be mono - how come you don't put the lowend -100 in the stereo image within izotope then?

    • @hakkis1524
      @hakkis1524 Před 6 lety

      UtaMusic I guess the value of zero in izotope already keeps it in mono, especially if each individual track containing lowend is already mixed to mono.

    4:30 What does he mean with "don't cut off the 160 Hz on the master"? Does it mean that you shouldn't make the track mono from 160 Hz and below through a master-plugin but rather through each individual sound playing within that frequency range?
