The Silent Hill Chapter introduces a new map, Midwich Elementary School: the childhood trauma that once took place in its halls has since manifested itself into a twisted, nightmarish design. The new Killer is The Executioner: take control of Pyramid Head and wield his great knife to unleash his twisted brand of punishment on all who cross him. The new Survivor is Cheryl Mason, a courageous, outspoken woman who survived the hellish Otherworld of Silent Hill, and exacted revenge on the Order that killed her father. With experience beyond her years, she's prepared to once again stand against any evil that confronts her.

There should be a Siren effect that changes the map after the generators are all fixed. Then you can have a phase 2 Otherworld version where you try to just find your way out but the map is different and more dangerous.

I'm honestly surprised at how accurate PH's design is, it's not the dumb bulky muscleman version from the movies and Homecoming and he even has the old helmet and knife. Heather looks kinda jank though.
They intentionally based him on his original design from 2. I think the idea was to make the DLC represent the original trilogy.
This looks nothing like the original silent hill2. Look at him, he doesn't even look feminine or have 3 fingers like in silent hill2. His arms have too much muscle and he doesnt walk the same way or speed. Only the helmet is big the rest is literally the exact same thing you criticized the others having.
He has 2 skins, one is more like the movie and the other is more like the original.

I like how they basically made it a direct sequel to the first three games.
The map is based on Harry’s experiences which connects Cheryl’s guilt to her sealed memories of her past life during the first game. Pyramid Head in the second game was created to torture sinners, and Cheryl’s guilt of not being there to prevent Harry’s death makes her a magnet to him. Finally Cheryl is going by her birth name yet still has her dyed hair and outfit from the third game.
Not only that, but they added a whole extra description of her post-SH3 life and gave her unique, grown-up costumes with longer and black hair. This is amazing.

those were always there, me and my friends found it when the ptb came out, they are just hidden bethind 2 breakable doors, the killer can break the doors to access secret stairs to gain the ability to get to the second floor without needing to take the main stairs (of course the survivors can also use those stairs after the killer has opened them)

There are two things I take away from this trailer that I reeeeally want to be a general feature.
1. Skill checks when hooked for the second time instead of mashing spacebar. It seems a LOT more stressful than mindlessly pressing space.
2. Flashlights actually being utilized to light up dark areas. Makes them useful for other things than blinding the killer, and actually adds more horror elements to the game.
Lower the brightness for people who have a flashlight, make them able to run while using it, and make it so the battery doesn’t deplete if your not blinding the killer. I think that would be a good way to implement your idea for the flashlight!
@@justsomerandomdude9830 To go along with it they would have to slightly reduce battery time base and added by add on by maybe a second or two seconds max depending on what counts as "blinding the killer". Otherwise I agree and let's survivors do flashlight raves without wasting battery.
Um... The flashlight is used for more than just blinding the kiiller. It can reveal the wraith when he is invisible and stun him for a longer duration. It can remove the traps the hag puts down. It can blind the nurse for a longer duration if you catch her mid-blink. Flashlight is plenty useful... Just severely under powered
Crow Gaming yeah but most of the time, hags only put traps around a hooked player, at least from my experience with most hags. Plus you can just crouch over the traps and they don’t go off.

Hey, not sure if you already have something in the works for PH in an animation, but if you don't mind a suggestion that I imagine you already thought of, having a bit with PH, Legion, and Mike where they compare knives and then PH shoes up doing the famous Crocodile Dundee line of "This is a knoife"
I'm not sure if it was in any way considered during design, but I like how Pyramid Head is naturally able to kill survivors by his own hand after hooking them twice and dealing sufficient "punishment". It would seem to suggest that while most killers have to gain The Entity's favor by offering a Mori in order to do so, the force of Pyramid Head and Silent Hill are strong enough to where he is still of his own volition and purpose to an extent. I would imagine The Executioner as one of the few Killers that The Entity has an almost respect for, in a sense.
And yes, I care way too much about horror and DBD lore. :P

This map is really well designed, the dark, the enclosed spaces, the sense of no freedom it’s so good. The people in cages make it so much scarier by giving a glimpse of what will happen or they just make you feel bad by knowing their pain and violent shaking. This map is so damn scary

There's more respect for and understanding of Silent Hill here than in anything Konami's produced in the last decade. And while I've always complained about Pyramid Head appearing in anything other than SH2, this is an exception. 😝

Not at all. Deathbound doesn't prevent healing; just heal far away from the Killer so they can't be bothered to go and find you
Lily Mu well actually you technically give away to the survivors what perk you have and they know you're far but going to be close which is not as good since nurse's calling won't be detected by survivors unless they had distortion (the perk that counters bbq&chilli even though hiding in a locker is basically like the perk but without wasting a token or a perk slot)
Wait just a question If the perk were to be afflicted only when in radius will insidious button ad on from legion affect it?

It's so weird hearing Cheryl Mason instead of Heather Mason. I know Cheryl is her real name, but to hear it be used outside of the Silent Hill game is very different to me. Can't wait for this release though!!

@@heartlqke That's pretty valid too. I guess for me, it's Cheryl's older form that's so associated with the name Heather. But I guess it shouldn't be weird because, like you said, she was already Cheryl from SH1. 😅
This was the first DLC to be released after I started playing the game, despite me being a Mobil exclusive player. When this came out on mobile I was thrilled and so far Pyramid Head is still my favourite killer with Myers, Oni, Pig, Nemesis and the Onryō being the only others that come close.
Soul guard is a decent counter to all hex perks, and the perk that lets survivors block a gen is a hard counter to pop. Pyramid head has some pretty good perks too. These new perks for both sides I feel might change the meta drastically but we'll see. Im excited for it

I love how they call Cheryl/Heather "caring" but in Silent Hill 3 (where Heather Mason's gameplay originates from) she literally says "Guess God didn't make it". I don't think that's caring guys, I think that's badass.
