ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA - In this video, The Foodie TV visited Lola's By MFK, Modern Filipino Kitchen in Orange County near Disneyland. Lola's is the creation of Chef Henry Pineda of Modern Filipino Kitchen Aysee, whom aspires to bring the flavors of Filipino Cuisine to Orange County. He has several concepts under the same kitchen, offering different menus of Filipino foods enjoyed for the different meals. We've heard a lot about the modern Filipino Brunch here and we had to make a visit.
This brunch spot is very popular and with crowds at all times. Not a lot of Filipino restaurants in the area, let alone one that serves brunch, and this spot is definitely on the list to visit if you enjoy the flavors of Filipino food and brunch.
What we ordered:
1. Ube Tres Leches French Toast - French toast drenched with ube tres leches sauce topped with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, shaved almonds.
2. Adobo Fried Rice Omelette - Chicken-adobo garlic fried rice wrapped in an omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic & scallions.
3. Bang-Silog - Filipino Fish butterflied and fried with garlic rice, cherry tomatoes, green onions, and sunny-side egg.
