the portion they are referring to him as a "former prisoner", i believe has to do with his failed Coup to overthrow the government in Bavaria, he was tried for treason and sentenced to 6 months, where he wrote "Mein kampf "in his basically hotel room of a prison cell. I do not believe he was every a PoW in WW1, but he was injured several times.
@@icantthinkofaname7293 Not it was a cell. Less strict though as he was a political prisoner and considered to have a right cause. Judges being lenient on him and some of his coconspirors
This isn't a praise of Nazi Germany, but an walk through of how it started, former prisoner, State in despair, pride is fading, debt and hatred running along the city, a unlikely hero causes propaganda to make a political statement and a declaration of war. This song explains the feeling of Europe during the buildup and as the war started. It's more of a statement and history lesson.
@@DravenReactions if you listen the these words in the song you hear them right. joakim has a good pronounciation (i think i spelled this wrong) of german words. greetings from germany
Lebensraum: leh-bens-rowwm
Anschluss: an-sh-luss
Lebensraum is German for "Living Space"
Anschluß is German for "Annexation"

That's right, I forgot but he had basically a house as a prison.

Technically he was sentenced to five years, but he *served* nine months.

"With a vision or grand delusion", "Who will stop the madman's reign" "The Rise of Evil" anyone who thinks this song is pro-nazi is an idiot.
Mate, in the album Carolous Rex (if am not wrong) there's a recording of them performing the Swedish anthem
Yes?
It is on The Art of War as a bonus live track
@@connydely1460 Yeah that's it
Do some live video reviews of sabaton. Rise of evil is awesome live with the crowd chanting. You can song from the Woodstock festival in Poland!
Another great reaction of the same great band. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for a new reaction video! I allways fellt Sabaton is a metal Troubadour band, allways a story behind the songs.
Livgardet would be a great anthem for Sweden
Just want to tell you, Joseph Stalin was the leader of the USSR, it's short for "Union of Soviet Socialist Republic"
