My son died 4 years ago by three killers in Baltimore Maryland and I couldn't accept it so I kept getting high and I kept pretending like you were still here like I was going to run into him because the real truth is too much to accept but now I know I have to go through it in order to heal and I feel like this message was for me. I have lost other children but never a 27-year-old child. I have had several miscarriages but to see your child grow and watch him live and to have someone take him from you The devastation .......no parents should ever outlive their child. And this year God help me, he redeemed me and gave me a new life and blessed me and now I feel so much better and I have not gotten high and I am praising him every day. It's been 3 months now but on December 18th it will be 4 years that my son was taken. So I began tithing after the "Easy Money" series. Didn't have it to give for a couple of months and started back this month. And by God, my coworkers blessed my children with Christmas gifts as I'm a single mother just trying to make ends meet and keep Christmas going for them AND they blessed me with a substantial amount of money. My sermon notes for "Damaged but not destroyed// End in triumphant// There is triumph in trying again" week 11: 1.) You can't live off of someon else's faith, you need faith for yourself 2.) With God, triumph is always on the other side of trauma. Your response to trauma is based on how you were conditioned. God says you had to feel it to heal it, acknowledging is beginning of healing 3.) Faith is trying in a manner that you can put your weight on it 4.) The most tragic part about trauma is many times is that it silently robs you of your try. The try gets lost at a point of trauma, that's why you need to heal. You win by showing up, you tried again. Christ is in the middle, don't give up in the middle of it because God is working behind the scene. Get your try back, God can't move if you don't. Give God something to work with 5.) Crazy faith is about obedience more than the outcome, the outcome fof anything is not proof of faith, obedience is. Crazy faith is unleashed when you try the first time. Where are you missing ot on the miracles because you will not try? Faith doesn't feel like losing but it does feel uncertain with no illusion of control. Disappointment comes from your own thoughts that don't line up with God's thoughts. Be careful how you feel when you get the miracle in the way you didn't want 6.) You have got to focus on the promise of God and what he says, not what other people conditioned you to believe. Your faith has to be in the guide who will lead you into the right direction, not the destination. It doesn't matter who tries to put limits on you, God knows and sees what is on the inside of you. He knows where you are going and God has chosen you, allow him to guide your steps in his word and not let doubt and fear to overtake the inside of you 7.) So many people get discouraged by the distance between where you are and where you desire that they become disabled in the present believing that trying would be an act of delusion. 8.) Your excuses are not going to work, excuses are only going to keep you from the next and where God is taking you 9.) Obedience is better than sacrifice, don't cancel out your sacrifice by not obeying 10.) The supernatural is usually activated by something simple 11.) Obedience is the main ingredient in miracles, you need to try again. God will give you fresh instruction not a new one but to do the same thing he told you before. The miracle happens when you are in the act of obedience 12.) Rarely does God call you to something convenient. Sometimes God will cause you to do something that goes against your training so he can get the glory 13.) The church having crazy faith is incomplete, if you don't have crazy faith. Step into it. If God said it, then believers has your best interests 14.) Don't quit on six, you have come too far. The miracle only happens with simple obedience. Have faith to try again, consider who God is and believe you can trust him first, rather than looking at your trauma. Obedience will change the way people see you 15.) In times of hardship, we can turn to prayer for healing, restoration, and hope. In the Bible, James 5:13-15 says, "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven." Through prayer, we can also find strength and love in surrendering our worries and burdens to God. 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Prayer allows us to connect with a higher power and find peace in times of trouble.
The surrender prayer, also known as the serenity prayer, is a powerful mantra that can help us let go of our worries and find inner peace. It goes, "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." By surrendering our worries and fears to a higher power, we can find strength and clarity to face life's challenges with grace and acceptance.
May we find peace and healing in our hearts, for the wounds we carry can be heavy and burdensome. May we release any anger, resentment, or pain and allow love to fill our souls. May we find strength and courage to move forward, knowing that we are not alone in our struggles. May our hearts be mended and our spirits lifted, as we trust in the power of healing and the goodness of Christ Jesus! 🙏🏾. Father God, we thank you for the gift of life and for the breath in our lungs. We pray that you guide us and fill us with your wisdom and love as we pour out our praise and gratitude to you. My sermon notes for "Damaged but not destroyed// End in triumphant// There is triumph in trying again" week 11:
1.) You can't live off of someon else's faith, you need faith for yourself
2.) With God, triumph is always on the other side of trauma. Your response to trauma is based on how you were conditioned. God says you had to feel it to heal it, acknowledging is beginning of healing
3.) Faith is trying in a manner that you can put your weight on it
4.) The most tragic part about trauma is many times is that it silently robs you of your try. The try gets lost at a point of trauma, that's why you need to heal. You win by showing up, you tried again. Christ is in the middle, don't give up in the middle of it because God is working behind the scene. Get your try back, God can't move if you don't. Give God something to work with
5.) Crazy faith is about obedience more than the outcome, the outcome fof anything is not proof of faith, obedience is. Crazy faith is unleashed when you try the first time. Where are you missing ot on the miracles because you will not try? Faith doesn't feel like losing but it does feel uncertain with no illusion of control. Disappointment comes from your own thoughts that don't line up with God's thoughts. Be careful how you feel when you get the miracle in the way you didn't want
6.) You have got to focus on the promise of God and what he says, not what other people conditioned you to believe. Your faith has to be in the guide who will lead you into the right direction, not the destination. It doesn't matter who tries to put limits on you, God knows and sees what is on the inside of you. He knows where you are going and God has chosen you, allow him to guide your steps in his word and not let doubt and fear to overtake the inside of you
7.) So many people get discouraged by the distance between where you are and where you desire that they become disabled in the present believing that trying would be an act of delusion.
8.) Your excuses are not going to work, excuses are only going to keep you from the next and where God is taking you
9.) Obedience is better than sacrifice, don't cancel out your sacrifice by not obeying
10.) The supernatural is usually activated by something simple
11.) Obedience is the main ingredient in miracles, you need to try again. God will give you fresh instruction not a new one but to do the same thing he told you before. The miracle happens when you are in the act of obedience
12.) Rarely does God call you to something convenient. Sometimes God will cause you to do something that goes against your training so he can get the glory
13.) The church having crazy faith is incomplete, if you don't have crazy faith. Step into it. If God said it, then believers has your best interests
14.) Don't quit on six, you have come too far. The miracle only happens with simple obedience. Have faith to try again, consider who God is and believe you can trust him first, rather than looking at your trauma. Obedience will change the way people see you
15.) Your finances prove the priority of your heart
