The best looking modern ones are the 05-09. They are reminiscent of the old ones. After 2009 their styling went downhill.
Between the power of the car and the heels hearing that tire squeak on every shift was awesome to hear. Nothing sounds like a classic muscle car.

I had a 1971 mach 1 just like this one same color except hood color had silver stripe with black on side and had ram air on 351c motor. It was a automatic c6 transmission with 9 inch rear axle. Mine had the decor package on doors with wood grain trim. Beautiful car. Beautiful color combination. Mine had the 15 inch magnum boss style wheels with white letter good year tires.

I had a bone stock 71 fastback 302/2 barrel. It was surprisingly quick.
Nice mach 1 my grand dad had one this one looks mint and its manual this mustang reminds me of the yellow mustang in the original gone in 60 seconds( ELAENOR )👍👍

In 69 & 70 The smallest motor you could get in the Mach1 was the 351 Windsor. Starting 1971 Ford lowered their standards for the Mach and allowed the F code 302. Also, it was the only year they offered the Bad ass 429 SCJ or CJ ! Those cars bring the big bucks.
My ‘73 had the factory slot mags, but those Cramer S/S’s look second best!

@@musclecarsforsaleinc nope thats not it. I had a 71 mach 1 and it never idled that high after it warmed up. Turn the idle down and check the timing. It needs checking because that Stang is beautiful and needs a little loving.
What engine, 429? Would have said on the car 351 Cleveland or winsor ? How much

10 years ago 71 thru 73 were going for 13 to 15k . Nobody wanted that body style . Let me know if the new owner has buyer remorse ? That car would make a perfect bookend to my 22 mach 1!!!

My best friend asked me to drive and deliver his newly bought 1971 mustang Mach 1 to him about 300 miles. The 351 Cleveland motor began to overheat at about 75 MPH between expressway exits and I continued on to try to make it to the next exit five miles away… I blew both head gaskets out of it and the motor was fried! Hey, what are friends for? He blew up my 69 427/435 tripower corvette a few years before throwing a rod through my corvettes oil Pan… so we are even I guess!

With all of the work that went into this restoration, why not paint the argent accent on the hood correctly? This is the Boss 351 configuration; the Mach 1 style is tapered in the front.
