- Five things I hate about my Audi. we all have a love - hate relationship with our cars, here are a few of mine. filmed on SAMSUNG GALAXY S8

Car still looks modern and classy unlike it’s contemporaries. All Audis have a timeless design to them, boxy or roinded, doesn’t matter.
I agree. People thought my 1996 A6 was from the 2000s, lol.
I almost got one of these for a daily driver, the guy wanted $7000 for a 2008 A6 4.2 Quattro S-Line that looked in very good shape, but I just couldn’t take the gamble on expensive parts and maintenance to keep it on the road for years and years.
Thank you for viewing and commenting. I agree, 7k is a bit much. I barely paid 4k for mine. 08 is when they did a refresh so could be cause of price bump. Part prices are no big deal with a reputable site, it's the labor. If you're not the DIY type it'll cost you. Next time you're in the market look for the one's with the right maintenance records and you'll be good.
I can only agree with the maintenance issue. The cost of labor to keep this car on the road is killing me.

Man, that's a nice car with a timeless design. Depending on the angle, a6c64f's design may look very strange. But, just try to compare it today with its competitors such 2005 BMW 5 series, there's no comparison. I agree about motor's space. For a small piece that you can replace by yourself, you gotta go to the mechanics where you'll spend a lot of money just because they have tools and know how to manage in order to get access to those tiny places.

Next to the six discs there is the AMI Audi Multimedia Interface, I believe it was optional cuz the car had it when I purchased it, you can plug your ipod, usb memory, phone,
jack (etc to play your music or videos) each cable for what you wanna connect
thank you for viewing. yes its an added option, i believe i mentioned that theres a wire i can buy. the point of mentioning the AUX is because a base model KIA and TOYOTA had them standard for many years, meanwhile a car of this caliber it has to be added. i could do with less cig lighters for something i would use. im also aware that they started putting them in the 2008 and up models, not all but its a start.
I feel you on the bluetooth lol. I bought the FM adapter that you plug into the cigarette lighter now I'm good.

I have owned both A6 (2000) and A4 (2015) and I would pick 2 hates from your list the auxiliary and the maintenance cost related to labour. Also if you really want to enjoy the Audis get the quattro with S line package. The shape of Audis since 1999 been really outclass and compared to BMWs and Merc they never looked trivial.
thank you for the view, sorry for late reply. ive owned several since 1996, my most enjoyable was my 2002 A6 4.2 followed by my 2000 A6 front drive. i didnt own the A4 convertible 2 weeks before i was rear ended and pushed into the car in front of me totaled which is why i bought this one. i didnt have much time to search for what i really wanted accident was in massachusetts had to get back to florida for holiday.

Mine is from 2009, and it got the Aux and USB port Serial. Also smthg you Night consider switching the Model? I paid 10 grand and didn’t regret it so far. Greetings from Germany 🤟🏼

thank you for coming. im aware of aftermarket cables, i belive i mentioned it. but incase i didnt thank you for pointing it out.
#5 - I got the bottom of the barrel MMI - the simplest screen and only a single CD player, so BluTooth or anything, but then I remembered the old ways from early 2000s - FM transmitter is a thing, so right away I bought one from a local supermarket, looked through the list of local radio stations, to find the biggest free gap in their frequencies, and tuned transmitter to one of those. Transmitter also has buttons, which work as "forward", "back" and "play/pause" with my phone, usually I play something from "Spotify" there. Yes, the quality of sound is not top notch, sometimes there is some interference like slight background hiss or crackling, but enough for me.
Or you can stick a microSD into a transmitter, it's just not the option I use.

thank you for the view. sorry for the late reply, have been pretty busy in life. i bought the car out of necessity, my a4 convertible was totaled shortly after purchase and had to get back home. the newer Audi are very nice and well equipped, but i suggest buying extented warranty or an aftermarket one. i tell everyone to do this no matter the vehicle.

I’ve got an American version of 4.2i 2005 in Lithuania, it is the exact same color as yours, and I love it, but yeah the looks are a bit bland. But im thinking of buying a lip for the front bumper and a mini spoiler, the stock one from S6/RS6, and a diffusor for the back bumper, then it should freshen up the looks
good idea on the lip kit. i was thinking similar for future audi videos. stay tuned for more
2008-2011 c6 A6 has a factory mp3 box in them in the glovebox. C6s older than that you can add it to it but it has to be coded by the dealer and secret menu activated with vagcom. Not cheap if using new part, around $1500 parts alone. Not sure if dealer would code a used one but that would be a a lot cheaper.

@@dallaslewis4411 I've heard people use retrofits for carplay as it works on this MMI. I haven't tried but it sounds tempting. Currently I just use FM transmitter so I can listen to bluetooth music. Cheap fix to say the least, but yeah you have to use the small interface on the transmitter itself or your phone to change tracks

i have usb plugged into system ye but weird that no aux nothing either ive had numerous dif vehicles cheaper ones even more expensive ones and they all had those features even cheap ones.
Thank you for viewing and commenting. Thats the point I was making, I've been in some "cheaper" cars that have this basic upgrade, but some "luxury" brands want you to pay for it. Sad thing is newer cars are adding subscription services for things like heated seats and people are still going to pay full price and the subscription.

Thank you for viewing and commenting. I've tried several devices and can only be used for phone calls. The point of mentioning the aux or lack of is to point out that a vehicle of this caliber shouldn't have it as an add on when other lesser caliber vehicles have them

@@rustystaley7150 yes, only calls. The facelift models have a secret green screen that allows you to play with such features, mine unfortunately doesn't.
How many miles does your car have? I’m looking into buying one with 120k miles on it
i belive im in the 160k range, i think it shows up in one of my other videos if not this one. be sure o take yours for a good test drive and ask alot of maintenance questions.

i paid a little over 4, 000$ u.s a few years ago. not a bad deal. got me back to florida, i didnt even want it, still dont.
@@power2daaplayer304 yes, the timing chain problem. i thought i had it until i did the treatment and drove a while. the older gentleman before me handed me stacks of service records, got lucky for a car i settled for. it sits again all summer until i get back to florida.
Why the glovebox opens so fast? Mine opens to way slowly.

@@ScarzCarz Yes, it's calles soft open, buy I think is not only visual I think that the glovebox door can broken with out it because of the Wright of it self. For me it's an important thing for that reason. I have the same car with the same motor and I'm in love with it 😍
@@batmariostar1818 that's awsome. It's not a hate hate with the car, I also have a video of the things I like. I've been a fan of the 4.2 since my 2000 and 2002 A6. I don't like this car because I had to settle on it, I bought a cabrio A4 and after tons of money on full paint rims and tires brakes, and fluid changes, the vehicle was totaled. Had to get home to Florida so the search was on, ended up between this car and an A8 L but the A8 had too much going on with it for me to fix in the time I had. Thank you for watching one of my first videos, I appreciate all of you. I've got a couple A6 videos I haven't posted yet, been lazy LOL.

For me this version is the best of all the a6 version, I have the 4.2 v8 and the s6 5.2 v10 and I'll like to buy an rs6 sedan of this version but it's really difficult to find a good unit, I'm from Europe if you are asking why my English is not good 🤣. Good videos. I just subscribed 👏🏻. And I love that your car has all the interior on the same color. Mine has only the seats and part of the doors on brown, I'll like to have all of them in Brown and the exterior color is beautiful. Sorry for being annoying 😅

Just get one of those FM transmitters for your aux
thank you for the view. im aware of the items i can purchase for aux, im sure i mentioned i can purchase a dongle that wires to my cd changer. the point of mentioning it is because instead of power supply and cigarette lighters i would have been good to have an aux. especially since a base model TOYOTA or KIA have had them standard for many years, meanwhile a car of this caliber it has to be added.

Literally complained about dumb things except the maintenance 🤦🏻♂️ want it lower add coilovers. They make aftermarket stereos with auxiliary if you need it put it in. And don’t like the look sell it 😂😂
thank you for the view. these are not complaints, they are observations. please watch the video of the things i do like. i do mention the maintenance i just dont get hung up on it. theres a saying, if you cant afford to fix it, dont buy it. you mentioned the AUX, a vehicle of this caliber shouldnt need to have it installed aftermarket when vehicles of lower quality have had them for many years. i could do with less cigarette lighters in exchange. ive owned various A6s since 1996, from base FWD to this. and theres just something about it i dont like. the very first video i posted on this car explains why i bought it in the first place, i was involved in an accident that totaled my convertible A4 while away from home.
Put bt transist in dash or usb port or sell taht one and buy some simply older model. It's not for you. I have a4b5, a6c4, a6c5 and i'm looking for a6c6 4.2

yes, i know. i mentioned that you can buy a cord in video. the reason i mentioned the AUX or lack of is because cars of lesser value have had them standard for many years. from a base corolla to a base KIA.

thank you for the view. my vehicle is pre facelift, its a little different than the 2008 and up which are post facelift. i mentioned the AUX because a vehicle of this caliber you have to pay for it where as a base toyota or kia have had them standard.
Thats why i dont like the V6 and V8 engines in audis. Its always starting with removing the engine. Inline 4 1.8 turbo, is much more better for daily use. Service is much simplier.
I bought this car used in 2015 and today i regret it :( gonna try and save for a honda

@@ScarzCarz its just that after 150k miles it becomes expensive to maintain, i need to pay 680 for an alternator assembly replacement, let alone when the car starts its just louder than usual. Theres oil leaking under the hood its just a soon to be junk car

@@ScarzCarz yw its a nice video, the mechanic says i got an oil leak under the hood btw, any idea what thats from? Oil filter gasket maybe?
@@muhamadq1744 these engines have a problem where it leaks from the oil filter housing, it makes seem like its leaking elsewhere. its a cheep part but it requires removing the intake manifold, its not that bad of a job for a DIY. hard to say without looking at it in person though.

OIL LEAKING, OIL LEAKING, OIL LEAKING, OIL LEAKING,, OIL LEAKING, for my C6 4.2
thank you for viewing. sorry about your oil, could be as simple as a valve cover gasket to the dreaded rear main seal which requires transmission removal.
Mine leaks too but once I changed the oil gasket under the manifold it stopped for a while but as I keep looking the oil sensor behind the housing in the back is what was leaking

thank you for the view. the bluetooth on my model only works for phone calls, music doesnt sound good. nothing beats a good plug in unit. this seems like a hot topic for people, please read the other comments so im not repeating myself. again, thank you for the view

And this video falls in the "people are rare" category.
Number 5: auxiliary. It is right there! It is exactly where it is in my car!
Number 4: "All this technology..." Ok boomer! Just get back to the 70s and get a very old car. That's what you want.
Number 3: you didn't pay for all this stuff, which is included in higher tier models. More bucks, more stuff. However, you are also complaining of too many things. Coherency?
Number 2: Finally something that makes sense. Definitely too crowded in there. However I am not sure that you should service the car given that you can't find the auxilliary.
Number 1: that's stupid, why did you buy it in the first place?
lol. did you not see the other video of the five things i like? my point about the aux is that a 2000 corolla has aux standard where as a car of this caliber does not. you must watch my first video to understand why i bought this perticular car and model. my A4 convertible was totaled 2 weeks into ownership and had to get back home to florida.
Then why you get an Audi if your just gonna complain about it ?
