RAREST OF RARE - 5 Major Express Trains Taken On Same Track At Less Than 20 Metres From Each Other !

- Last Sunday, there was a special power block Test Charging from 1500KV to 25,000KV on Kurla - Thane line. There was also a special traffic block for Thane Yard Remodeling & Test Charging for Ac traction. Due to this emu's were not operating on up and down fast lines were not operating, many emu's on up and down slow lines were cancelled. In the evening and night, there were also emu's standing one behind each other. Have a look at the trains stranded and standing one behind each other as follows;
1) KYN WCAM-3# 21962 in a new cream white and blue livery with 12173 Ltt Pratapgarh Udyog Nagri Express.
2) KYN WCAM-3# 21959 with 12125 Mumbai Cst Pune Pragati Express.
3) KYN WCAM-3# 21899 with 11401 Mumbai Cst Nagpur Nandigram Express via Nanded.
4) KYN WCAM-3# 21881 with 12123 Mumbai Cst Pune Deccan Queen. We came to halt since we arrived at Nahur station.
5) KYN WCAM-3# 21886 with 12261 Mumbai Cst Howrah Superfast Duronto Express.
Since emu's came to standstill, many commuters got down and started walking on railway tracks. There was a powerblock also till 31st Dec midnight. For 2-3 more days, commuters travelling on Central Railway faced lots of problems/inconveniences.

Well what can you expecting when they upgrading from1,500V DC to 25,000V AC, they don't do that over 1 night. Those WCAM3 can use both DC & AC, those EMU's are built for 1,500V. About walking on tracks is very common in Asia.
Because Mumbai is under dc power. After 54kms, ac power starts. WCAM-3 is a dual voltage capable of running in both dc and ac tractions

Train on extreme left was Ltt sultanpur express. The 1st train next to me was Udyognagri express

I was in 14217 unchahar express and its pantograph broke... So it made kanpur-delhi shatabdi stop at rear and behind it there was shramshakti exp and behind it there was prayagraj amd behind it rajdhani
