A Master Class, a Tour de Force, damn near a PhD all rolled into one. Wow. I’m so glad I have no plans to play guitar.
Oh man, this is world class. He combines so many scales in a relaxed cool way, never leaves the bluesy sound. For some of those licks, you could study a day. Sounds fresh all the time. Great amount of respect!
I agree and the main thing for me is he plays tasty licks that never sound boring - and he plays chord tones as the changes go by in a fluent manner. Incredible

Took a while to understand Josh and his style and now he's my one of my favourite guitar players with incredible rhythm...if I wanted a mentor, he's the guy. Always "in the pocket".

I’m stealing some of those moves. Really imaginative guitar playing, I’ve only heard Robben Ford fill and solo like that. Top Drawer guitar work and no hiding place in a three piece, you just gotta be good. Top bass and drum work also.

The bass looks like he could play defensive line for the Titans.
Hugh Snyder It helps to have strong shoulders when you’re holding a 5 string jazz bass for the length of a gig. He’s been to the gym and got the widest strap on it as well, he’s taking no chances.
People talk about Stevie Ray Vaughan. Iv never been a huge SRV fan. Josh Smith is three Stevie Ray Vaughans to my ears.

Jesus Christ the man can play. 3:15 he switches into turbo SRV mode for a few seconds. He sounds a lot like Robben Ford. Love his playing and tone.

Josh your an Awesome player! I knew someone just like you in the 80’s, I took two lessons from him I learned a lot, but unexpectedly I went for my third lesson and his T &A told me he took off on her and that wuz it for me , never found one like him near me!
