- I’m not a fan of mid-controls. They seem to cramp up my hip after less than 30mins of riding. I honestly was more comfortable on my R3.
Which was a way more sporty riding position.
So, I picked up some Forward Controls to install on my Honda Rebel 500.
Hopefully they can give me that cruiser style riding experience that I prefer.

Wow.. amazing, wasn't aware we could install forward control, as a 6 feet rider this is really good news
It's so fun watching you work on this. Miss you, buddy.
Looks smooth. Tho i would loose ( or move ) the sliders as they pose increased injury damage in case of getting injected forward.
Oh hey! A new video!
Great thanks for the video just what I was wondering if they had forward for me thanks
Another good and straightforward upgrade.
Good work 👍
Hey, just wondering if you think you'd be able to fit full crash bars with this kit? Cheers.
Nice work!!
@@MotoGearSolid yeah those red dragon ones seem to be the most common, I had a scheduled install… yet I’m not sure that’s happening now.
If you end up doing the upgrade in the future I’d be interested in your thoughts on them.
is the brake pedal and shifter adjustable to bring up or down?
Good day sir.. where did you buy a forward control kit for Honda rebel 500? Please share a link thank you
im a big and tall dude so something like this will be my first mod. i'll check out the red dragons
Hi I was following you cosplay tutorial and now I'm going to get my Rebel soon, and I see you do tutorial on this too : it's perfect. Question : I am 6,43 (196cm) is it a mod I need to buy ?
will these work with t rex racing highway bars or would they get in the way the 90 degree angle keeps giving me bad cramps
hey man! I own a rebel 500 too, and my only con of this bike is im 6' and I feel like a clown on a tricycle when I'm on long rides. No joke, my knees really start to hurt. I was wondering tho, does this conflict with a crash guard. I see the slider, and my guard is around the same height. Just wondering if it inconveniences you in any way during your rides. Thank you!
Do you have a link to the controls?
I’m pretty short 5”5’ and I don’t even like where the foot pegs are on my rebel. Probably going to invest in this
this aint short. You are tall. Me too.
i'm 5'4. don't be pretending. we short
Ive got a Rebel with Red Dragon forwards and a Diablo belly pan - no issues at all with clearance. All good.
Nice I want one too
@@MotoGearSolid thank u
Isn't it awkward when you have to stand on the pegs a bit? How do handle bottoming out over rough spots?
@@MotoGearSolid No, not yet. The 500 is my first. The forward controls look comfortable.
How tall are you
How tall are you sir?
Sorry, how tall are you?
Nice work man. Is there anything you don't like about the change? Lean angle noticeably different?
How tall you are?
can do this for rebel1100 ?
What effect on handling, if any, since the change? Does it lean over just as far?
@@MotoGearSolid looking forward to it
Very nice
I am from middle east
Will you help me what is the name of these pieces
And how I can order it from Amazon
I will be appreciated for your help
Good day. It’s just an opinion but I think it would have been nice if instead of music in the background and us just watching you quickly do this, an explanation of the process and tools required would have been nice. Just saying. Otherwise, great video and content.
Should have went with Kijiji
If you're having to do this then you've chosen the wrong bike
