Outer Mongolia (or Mongolia) is not where these people on stage came from. They are from various parts of China, including Inner Mongolia which is a province of China. Inner Mongolia has more mongolians than Mongolia and they kept the Mongolian writing scripts where as Mongolia has adopted the Russian Cyrillic script.

What about your bloodlines huh? Majority of inner Mongolians are half breed of chinese and Mongolians. If you really was Mongolian then why didn't you stand up like Outer Mongolians and became independent country? Are you guys that weak even tho you have more Mongolians, you can't be independent or join us. Btw inner Mongolians are brainwashed by Chinese propaganda and soon will be like Tibetans in china. If you are reading this now then you know what is happening in hong kong. In Mongolia they already began to teach Mongolian scripts since 1992 and changing the script doesn't mean we aren't Mongolians. Also inner Mongolia is province of china so you have no rights to speak about Mongolia like you know everything about it bastards.

@@fybrogen7473 (1) you are pursuing so-called "pure Mongolians". Are you saying you're Nazi? (2) But Outer Mongolia is so under Russian influence and even change your script from tradition to Russian Cyrillic script. It only proves you're a poker face, and you worship Russia so damn hard. What independence does Outer Mongolia have? How ridiculous is that. Pathetic...
GDP of Inner Mongolia region inside China is already 18 times of that of a whole country of Outer Mongolia... So easy to tell, you're full of jealousy and ignorance. The only way for Outer Mongolian government to complain all its failure is to let its people hate China. "It's all China's fault. Mongolia is a pure land." That's all the shit you are talking about.
Mongolian people share a long history with other ethnics in China. There's nothing to blame a country to have minority ethnic groups. Your daddy Russia has more than 180 ethnic groups. Should it be 180 countries? Hey if you think each country should only have one pure ethnic group, maybe you should ask the Yakut people in far-east Russia to stand up and become so-called "independent" first.

Ulaanbaatar Night (Cyrillic Mongolian: Уланбаатарын удэш) is a famous M-POP song in Mongolia. "Ulaanbaatar Night", perhaps the most popular Mongolian song in China in recent years, has appeared on talent shows many times, but it seems that even many singers have not figured out the origin of this song. The song was created in 1985, with lyrics written by Mongolian poet P.Sanduyjav, composed by famous Mongolian composer G.Pürevdorj, and originally sung by Mongolian Smile Band (Инээмсэглэл) in 1985. The original intention of this song was to express the happy life of citizens in Ulaanbaatar in the 1980s when the air was fresh in the evening and the streets were quiet. The melody was simple at the beginning, and then in 1992, Puribudorji, singer Ganghu Yaga, and Saren Tuya re-recorded the song in Singapore, making the melody complex and forming the current style. As soon as the song came out, because of its beautiful tune and poetic lyrics, it was widely sung first in Mongolia and then in Mongolian communities all over the world. It became the most well-known Mongolian song in the late 20th century. In 1987, the "Genghis Khan Band" of Mongolia went to Hohhot to perform this song, which made it known to the audience in Inner Mongolia. "Ulaanbaatar Night" is not a traditional Mongolian folk song, but a POP song in Mongolia in the 1980s.
There are many versions in Chinese: Gege, Amulon, Narenqimuge, Qiqige, Tan Weiwei, Wulan Tuoya, Black Horse Group, Erguna Band, Jiangyang Zhuoma, Tang Jingjin, Da Zhuang, Hang Gai bands... have covered this song. Zuo Xiaozuzhu included this song in the album "Night in Ulan Bator", and re-wrote the lyrics with Jia Zhangke. This song was once an episode in Jia Zhangke's works, and Zhao Tao sang it in the movie.

So glad that you love this performance. This one is one of my favorite performances in Singer show in all Singer seasons. I watched this show from the season one. Many many Chinese excellent singers left their best performances in this show. As a loyal fan of the show, it is sad that there will be no more seasons in the future. Tan Weiwei is actually the most favorite female singer. Her voice is full of power and emotion. She cares about folk Chinese music and she tries to combine it with rock (mostly she succeed) I love how she sings and perform. She is a charming woman and a singer who has her own thoughts.

nole nole I can kindly understand. Unlike other musical show, the competitors in this show are all mature and skillful singers. They are not unlimited in China. Six years passed, hundreds of Chinese singers have been invited on this stage and hundreds of famous songs have been performed. It's harder and harder for the show inviting proper singers. They cannot all invite foreigner singers. Famous Chinese singers who are willing to come has been invited in the last six years. At the same time promising singers are also less... Actually for me the show has not been as good as before since the season four. In the first three season, wow, extremely wonderful. In each single episode, there are four even five wonderful performance - great singer, great songs and great performance. Every competitor are attracting and has its own features! Since the season four, people's eyes only focus on one or two singers. Everybody knows the champion will appear in these two or three singers. Maybe the show stopping in this year is better than getting boring in the future.

thanks for sharing this song. Tan Weiwei is one of the best female singers in China. In fact, she is not from inner-Mongolia. but she has a lot of traditional singing technics, so she can use it in this song. Recently Tan trying to make pop or rock music combine with traditional folk music. This one is a good trying.
As you guys mentioned the male singer, they are really good singers! The male band behinds TanWeiwei is an inner Mongolia folk music group ----Hanggai band. They have many interesting pieces of music, like the song "reincarnate" czcams.com/video/UvW8JEuIo58/video.html ,or their live concert czcams.com/video/g1ShiPjIiSc/video.html , Inner Mongolia has a lot of good musicians, but not be noticed by the major media and the public. 1. This is a *mongol* song but Tan used some *tibetan* skill to sing this song, Tan is not tibetan but she often goes there have a deep connection with the locals.
    2. One simple tip to distinguish these 2 singing ways : mongolian way likes horse neigh and tibetan way likes bleat (the traditional livestock of these two ethnic groups), Oliva hit the point : it's like animal.
    3. Tan chose this song to pay tribute to his father who had gone when she was little, based on the original song, she added some extension parts, I'm glad you could feel it's "personal". ^^

It's true that she was guided by a Tibetan professor and she did learn almost everything about Tibetan vocal technics. The very same professor is also an expert to different culture and music of ethnic groups in Sichuan so she also guided TWW to go through Yi and Qiang ghetto to learn their music. TWW's vocal technics is actually a mixture of Tibetan style and Yi style.

She is Chinese but has studied and introduced a lot of traditional folk singing techniques to modern audience. I personally suggest her "康定情歌" from the same season of the same show.
There are many arrangements like new lyrics and melody in this performance. The last line, "Singers always have tears in their eyes," indeed.

Originating in Taiwan during the 1950s, Mongolian barbecue is a flavorful stir-fried dish. Despite its name, it's essential to note that this culinary creation has no actual ties to Mongolia and only bears a loose association with traditional barbecue practices. The dish's roots lie in the vibrant culinary scene of Taiwan, where it has evolved into a distinctive stir-fry that captivates taste buds with its unique flavors and cooking techniques.

Tried a English translation that can be basically sung, I hope someone can help improve this.
You've been away for years ago.
Yet you're by my side still.
Your smiling face in that day,
It remains vivid when I close my eyes.
The breeze through the wild, please go slow.
With my silence I show, I'm drunk a little.
Ulaanbaatar at night, so quiet, so gentle.
Even the wind can't hear, wind can't hear.
Clouds floating north, please go slow.
I'm running to show, I won't turn back.
Ulaanbaatar at night, so quiet, so gentle.
Even clouds don't know, clouds don't know.
    Ulaanbaatar at night, whooooo
    Hey, you're here,
You're long living in this world, every corner everywhere.
    Hey, you're here,
You'll go through the wind, go through clouds, go through all things,
    Come back.
Ulaanbaatar at night, so quiet, so gentle.
Even the wind can't hear, wind can't hear.
Ulaanbaatar at night, so quiet, so gentle.
Even the cloud don't know, cloud don't know.
What had ever changed in our world?
What are we expecting for in our world?
What finally remains in our world?
Only deserts remains, in this wild world.
The breeze through the wild, please go slow.
The one who sings can't hold tears.

This is a song of the same name of the Mongolian nation, but it was adapted by the Chinese and adopted Chinese-style lyrics and Chinese-speaking folk songs.Regarding Mongolia, the main ethnic group or the orthodox nation of the Mongolian people are all in China, and the extended ethnic groups of Mongolia or the tribes that were forced to merge in the same year were forcibly separated from China by the Soviet Union in the world. Of course, there are still a large territory. It became a Mongolian country that did not speak Mongolian and Mongolian. The Soviet Union originally divided these territories into a prelude to annexation, but the outbreak of the Cold War eventually led to an independent state.
