I came across this movie on a channel when I was a kid. It gave me a little chills, but it was time to go to bed without watching the whole thing, then I begged my dad to find him again. I said there's a big gray rabbit, I didn't know its name but then I never found it. Now sitting at my cousin's house, I saw a little Totoro toy I said oh my god how much does it look like the creature from the movie I watched when I was little, but I forgot the name so I took a picture of it and googled. And yesss that was it, I found it. Here is the movie that influenced me a lot in my childhood. It was just in my imagination and it's not clear but I still remember them waiting in the rain at the bus stop and this cat bus. God, I can't believe I didn't forget.

NOW WHEN IM GROWN UP I THINK THAT TOTTORO IS JINDA CREEPY, A GIANT MONSTER HANGING AROUND WITH TWO SMALL GIRLS, AND HE IS ALWAYS SMILING ( maybe it’s of grass he is eating btw girls later gets a "dream" that they are planting some thing ) AND THE MOST CREEPIEST IS THAT AT ONE MONENT PEOPLE FINDS A TINY SHOE IN WATER THAT IS NOT MAYS BUT ITS STILL A SHOE TO A LITTLE GIRL.

It's amazing how much attention Old TV and Movies can get when they're put on a platform like Netflix. When I was a little guy I thought I was the only one in the world with a VHS copy of My Neighbour Totoro.

I remember this scene. I don’t know how, or why, but I probably saw it on a channel on my TV when I was very young, and that memory remained with me. It was of this specific scene. I didn’t watch the full movie, or atleast I don’t remember, but this scene has always stuck with me. Finding the movie in recent times, it made me so happy because I can finally watch it.
In the french dub, Mélanie Laurent (Inglorious basterds) voiced Satsuki, in the english dub, Elle Fanning (Mei) was one of her actors for her american movie Galveston (she's movie director too)

The sound of Toronto roaring would scare the crap of anyone! Same with the smile of the cat bus. I think I need to re-watch this anime again. My first impression when I watched it, I wasn't a huge fan of it. I do however enjoy Kiki's Delivery Service.
