- MacBook locked by hacker? How to unlock MacBook? Whether EFI or PIN, REWA here has efficient solutions for you. This video shows the first macbook unlocking method, please stay tuned for the next two chapters.
1. Usually there are two types of lock for MacBook, PIN and EFI firmware lock;
2. Unlock MacBook does not affect the local data;
3. Once locked, if the data hasn’t been erased, then the data remains the same after unlocking; Once locked, if the data has been erased, then you need to reinstall the system after unlocking

You can Bruteforce EFI PIN with many available tools without need to even open MacBook

For EFI BF is about 280 codes per hour so it's worth for 4 digits codes as seen in this video ;)

I have a issue with my MacBook pro The screen was cracked so I was using a external screen and I was still recording and storing vids thru iphoto on my cracked screen finally that stopped working, I paid to get the screen fixed and now it has a flashing folder on the screen. So he told me it was the hard drive So the guy took it's previous hard drive out and gave me a new one with the latest is. I'm trying to locate any of the stored data from the previous hard drive by connecting it to my iMac. I see the hard drive but I can't locate its previous Vids of anything I recorded is there a way that I Can possibly recover them? (iTunes did not backup data) Even when the screen cracked I was recording and playing back all my data? Do I have any idea what I can do to try to recover any of my vids stored recently? Anyone or even better how to remove the lock also

why can't reinstall os ?
After unlocked, it can reinstall OS normally.
I think it boots from the EFI chip first (that’s why it still does stuff w/o a hard drive)
How can I avoid this kind of hacking?
if you're concerned about being hacked, change your iCloud password. They're hacking people using leaked iCloud passwords
PCKid11 Well, not so much leaked iCloud passwords, but some people reuse the same passwords across multiple services, which leads to easy lateral compromise.
