Years ago i use to binge your covers all the time and vicariously live through them as if i was playing. But very recently i just bought my first electric guitar! Thanks for being a major source of inspiration and it feels like you were a part of the journey somehow!! It's a dream come true to be able to play my own guitar now rather than living vicariously through covers. Now i can watch to aspire to be as good as you!
crazy because Connor and Erik both are responsible for the purchase a lot of baritones lol. I bought a subzero rogue vi because of Connor, then a year later I sold it and bought a gretsch baritone. both guys are dope
@@ixLunacy which one did you prefer? I've got the subzero. I like it the pickups are microphonic though but not too bothered kinda expected as its cheap as fuck
@MrAnalyptic exactly like you said, Rogue VI is cheap and it feels cheap. it's still got solid value for its price but I definitely think the gretsch is better. both really good looking though lol
@@ixLunacyconnor stands by the Squire VI which is what I’m planning to get then a SubZero as well! Also really want a Reverend guitar as Static Dress’s guitarist C0ntrast mains that brand and they sound SO GOOD. Reverend also makes a baritone too😂😅
@thelastsith2706 well everyone would get a squire vi if they didn't get discontinued and have their price triple. believe me if I wasn't ballin on a budget I would have a squire Bari too. but the gretsch is buyable for like 400 dollars these days, and they have humbuckers which I prefer but obviously thats subjective. honestly I wouldn't get the subzero if you're also planning on having a better baritone unless you just like the subzeros finish. which in that case I don't blame yoy because the burst finish is beautiful. but the subzero holds tune so poorly :(
It's not the brand that makes the sound. It's the person playing. You could have a shovel with 6 strings wired through, and it could sound like this given the skills

Beautiful Grestch, just picked one up myself in Bristol Fog. Flawless cover. What string gauges are you using for this? Wanna be able to hit that low C# without having to file the nut if possible. Cheers!
@@dogeplaysguitar thanks for the response. I run the NYXL 8 set with the low .80 in drop D#2 and that handles pretty well for that tuning. Will give a .90 a shot for the low C# and see how it goes!

The low C# is a .105, had to drill a tiny bit through the bridge to get it in, but I think a .90 would do honestly
