Seems the older I get the more eclectic my "collection" of things grow. I'm having a LOT of trouble putting an end to my Craftsman "collecting". I clearly need a bigger garage!
Wondering how clear they look. I would think having a 3x would be better for field of view. My eye sight is pretty bad at distance after using iPhone/iPod and computer monitors so maybe a 1-6x LPVO is actually better for me.
i have the g43 and the clarity is amazing. the eye relief is also amazing which is the main reason i got it over any of the other magnifiers from eotech or vortex. i wanted the 5x from eotech but the eye releif was a deal breaker for me
You should take down your first review of the dud g45 you got. I almost didn’t buy one after watching that video then I stumbled across your review of the replacement.
Might be helpful to someone else who receives a dud as I can’t believe I’m the only person to ever receive a defective G45. Lemons happen in mass manufacturing and I dont see any issues documenting that fact and my personal experience with what I received. You receiving (or my second purchase) a non-defective unit doesn’t change what initially happened with the first unit.
That's a touch call for a few reasons. Optics are VERY personal and what's good for one, may not be good for another. I personally like the smaller form factor of the G43, but depending on your backup sight (no not) the shorter length over the G33 may impact your eye relief. Since price is about the same, that doesn't appear to be a factor. G33 is older model, G43 newer (to some who have to have the latest/greatest that may be a variable). When I'm looking behind my G33 I don't find myself saying "I wish this was a G43" and same for the G43, so again, personal preferences are what it boils down to. Can't go wrong with their one in terms of quality/performance IMO. Probably not the answer you wanted, but this is a buying decision you have to be comfortable with.
Interesting question about a magnifier in front of NV. Would wonder about NV quality as well as size/fit (will the PVS14 be at the same level as the magnifier). Would be a good video topic for someone who has both.
@@ReLoadersBench The cost of either magnifier is about the same but the Eotech would serve two purposes while the pvs14 3x could only be used for observation at night The main thing that might hinder the eotech 3x from working is the light transmission throught it might not be enough. The PVS14 magnifier front lens is huge so after studying this further I would say that it might work with the Eotech 3x but it wont work as well as the PVS14 3x.
@@betlogenako7193 - this is a good topic for a video, so I'll make one highlighting the differences as the answer is going to be it depends on how you have things set up on the picatinny and your backup sight.
Good find and a nice collection of Eotech.

@@ReLoadersBench Maybe we need to cut a hole in one wall of the garage !
Have some tea and think on it. Have a good weekend 😁

Would be my only magnifier on my 16.5” hk 556. Would you get a G33 or a G43? I found 2 demo units and they both are within 5$ of each other

Do you think this could be used as a handheld magnifier in front of a PVS14?
