- This week Prince Harry took the extraordinary action of taking the UK government to court -- over the issue of security. The Duke of Sussex has plans to travel back to the UK with wife, Meghan and their two young children, Archie and Lilibet. But after splitting from the monarchy, the royal runaways gave up their right to protection from the palace..
That's led him to ask to privately fund his own security -- a request the British Government has rejected.
So, is it the right call, or should the Queen's own grandson still have a right to feel safe in the UK?
Joining us to discuss is former Royal Protection Officer, Simon Morgan, who worked for the Palace protecting Senior Royals for a number of years.

When will Harry accept that his Mum wasn't wearing a seat belt and the driver had been drinking. There are so many people that sadly ,have and will lose a parent in similar circumstances but, after 25 yrs will not still be twisting the truth and blame others for their mothers death. The issue is he isn’t entitled to security officers and so he would have to hire police. Can YOU hire an on duty a police officer to protect you? Nope. That’s why. Each one of us is entitled to are own opinion regarding the behavior of those who choose to make a career in the public eye. So why should they be treated any differently? Should they be sued each time they give their opinion or speak negatively about a family member? Heck, they choose to go on national tv to air their dirty laundry. If they were sued for criticizing their very own family, they would go broke. You can’t expect to control your own narrative and people’s opinions when you chose to be a celebrity in the spotlight. People have the right to their own opinions and freedom of speech as long as it is not malicious and based on false accusations with the intent to harm a person's good reputation. I have my doubts about that story. Only one photo emerged and while the car harry was in was moving the camera was stationary. So are we suppose to believe that one camera guy ran on foot to "chase" hapless harry? If photographers had been "chasing" harry that day we would have seen photos' video's something not one still photograph from a stationary camera (taken from a side view).

When these two were in Canada, the Canadian tax payer paid for their security. Harry and his wife used the security to run errands and pick up coffee for them. Canada never even got a thank you from these two, and then they left Canada the day before they would have to start paying for their own security. The only frontline action Harry saw was on the video game he was playing, which was most of the time. How does he repay us? Going to the Lion King instead of attending our honours ceremony. The Queens own daughter and son, Princess Anne and Prince Edward do not have royal security unless on public duty. Nor does her other grandchildren other than Prince William. So what makes Harry so special. Harry is asking for royal protection officers. They are not for sale. The private sector provide security for Princess Beatrice etc. But Harry thinks he is too good for the private security that his aunts, uncles and cousins have. It's all a smokescreen to make people feel sorry for them. He can buy his own private security, the royal protection officers are not for hire.

It's perfectly simple. Meghan does not want to return to the UK. She knows how unpopular she is. She chose to leave the UK, she chose to run around the south of France, she chose to call the paparazzi for a photo op when she wanted it. She chose to go to the Ritz Hotel in Paris in August. She chose to get into a car and not put on her seat belt, tragic as it sounds. She put her own life at risk. The safest place for her was residing in Kensington Palace, in a country where the public adored her, where she could have continued to do a world of good. She never would have wanted for a thing as the mother of the future King.

A UK government security team will have the authority to operate in the UK offering greater protection for his family. As everyone can agree on, Duchess Megan and his kids are not safe due to reported threats to their well-being.
