Having rewatched the venom vs Kraven fight several times now, it just hit me how when Kraven says “do you know what I feels like to have your body betray you?” Kraven has done aaaall this research into his opponents to find their history and weaknesses and everything, but he’s fighting a total unknown monster. But if he only knew who he was saying that to, he would learn that the person he fights to the death and loses to is the ONE person that genuinely 100% understands what it’s like to have their body betray them. Not only that though, but they are ALSO the only person that can understand not wanting to die because of their illness but on their own terms. It’s crazy how the two parallel each other in that moment

For decades, we've been asking for Ultimate Spider-Man to be revived for modern gaming. Insomniac responded with, "We got you."
They didnt do it nearly as good tho, imagine they just replaced the mj missions with venom instead, would have been way better.
@xdenoxxl wow people really will find anything to complain about. Stop whining, the MJ missions were fine and there was literally only two of them. And they both serve a purpose. The first one you are trying to find Connors and along the way you find out what other villains Kraven killed to show that he is a legitimate threat. Also shock value but whatever. And the second one is literally running after Peter being controlled by Venom and then running from said out of control Peter. The MJ missions from the first game may have been boring but the ones in this game certainly aren't.
@@HarleyQuinn-vb5dmYeah, I'm gonna have to wholeheartedly disagree there. I dreaded the MJ missions just as much as the previous game. I didn't buy a Spider-Man game to play an awful stealth simulator. I bought it to play as fucking SPIDER-MAN. The third MJ mission is at least tolerable, since it's kinda fun to shoot Symbiotes, but even then the mechanics are so unbelievably simplistic and bare-bones that compared to the phenomenal gameplay of Miles and Peter, it gave me fucking whiplash lmao. Compare Venom's segment to MJ's and it's like night and day on how to do and how NOT to do variation in a narrative based game. Venom's section lets you go absolutely apeshit destroying everything as a fan favourite character. MJ's missions is just an awful Metal Gear Solid impersonator lmao. And before you bring up how it's "Necessary for the story" they could've easily just had those sections be cutscenes and nothing would've been lost narratively. The cutscenes would be a little long, but it'd be less agonising.

I just yesterday 100% completed it and I was so glad that I spent my money on it. That doesn't at all change the fact that the MJ missions were a completely tedious waste of the player's time lmao. This is absolutely not a perfect game, and the MJ missions are one of the reasons why. It was one of the biggest criticisms people had of the first game and they ignored it. That's not some kind of nitpicking detail about something that doesn't matter. That's a legit problem. People complaining about how Spider-Man's Symbiote suit looks is a nitpick. This isn't. Idk why you're even bothering to defend it. It's not good lmao
After this whole section wtih Venom, I had to take a break. I put on pause, went outside, took a walk to process what I had just experienced. There was no end to chills, the goosebumps. I thank God for letting me be born in 1999 and be able to experience this.

I feel like we should get a dlc like the first one after how this one ended it seems confirmed that the next one will be the final chapter which I don’t think will get for couple years now hopefully not as long as this one took but I was thinking yesterday once I finished the story don’t continue this message if you haven’t finished the story have tried to keep it spoil free as possible so read at own risk
they could do a dlc against that fire guy pretty clear with how the last encounter ended what he’s gonna become would make sense to do dlc of that then third one being Norman being the goblin I’d love some sort of spin off game with venom but I’m just not sure how it work you couldn’t do like a in between because we’ve seen him beginning to end so we can’t get something like that I hope they work something out and give us that I loved the sequence

@@TNovix2Venom has never been a full on murder spree character except for the Ultimate version, he usually is a little goofy and is a Lethal Protector, while the movies aren’t good, as an adaptation they are halfway accurate to Eddie’s Venom as a character, that being said I also love Insomniacs’ version

Villain vs villain Is the best part of everything
Even if it was just for one level, I'm super happy we got to play as Venom. Felt like a direct love letter to Ultimate Spider-Man.
I'm convinced there will either be dlc or just a playable venom in a future update. I can't imagine they'd put in the effort to make a moveset complete with animations and everything, just for one story mission.

@@selection5072 Only thing I can picture is them adding some kind of survival arena mode where you have to fight waves of enemies as any of the playable characters, including Venom. Anything story related wouldn't really make much sense.

@@selection5072 Well they'd also have to make major adjustments to his movement. As you saw in his gameplay section, he can't webswing or glide. He can only leap to web zip targets and jump. That's it. So assuming you just took him and popped him into free roam, you wouldn't really be able to move around in a fun way. All you can do is run lmao.

Bro the last game of the year was riddled with Bugs, some that players hated and some they liked, and it still won, i doubt Bugs are going to be taken into account
@@jrecio.illustrations560 Oh no they are dead on with the Bugs causing Softlocks, it is a problem, tho only early on is when I encountered them (mostly one in May's house), they do need to fix them and it does kinda ruin the flow of the game when you suddenly gotta redo your progress, even if it's only like 4 minutes
My only point was that they won't take those into account for GOTY, As they certainly didn't with Elden Ring

I was literally so giddy playing this section. Overall, I loved the entire game, but my top 3 favourite moments so far probably have to be the entire Coney Island section, the Howard sidequest and the Venom rampage. Honestly, if Insomniac make a Venom spinoff game, I reckon the "new guy" who wrote the "Hunters, Scorpions and Explosions, Oh My" story is actually Eddie Brock and some of the symbiote could come into contact with him, transforming him into the next Venom. And the title of his spinoff game could be Venom: Lethal Protector.
When i heard MJ talking about this "new guy" who got the first page of the Bugle with his article instead of her, i immediatly thought about Eddie Brook!
I was hoping to see him introduced in the ending or in the secret ending, but now i hope Insomniac will introduce Eddie Brook in the DLC and then in a spin off game, like Miles Morales, where we will get to play Eddie Brook as the new Venom host

This twist was quite unexpected, I was thinking that kraven will become the venom but insomniac kept a plot twist for us.
It was actually shown in one of the other games at the very end credits that Harry was venom but I know everyone didn't play those games/maybe didn't see it

Games was absolutely phenomenal my only gripe was I felt they nerfed Peter a lot again were he got saved a lot even though for 60 years of his existence in all medias he’s beaten all these villains solo

First SM game the gameplay looked cool but I didn’t like it when I actually got to play it. Doesn't seem like you can do too much combat wise. Was same with the Miles one. The combat looks cool but I wanna try out this game cause I did see that they added at least a counter.
