    • @5Guyy
      @5Guyy  Před 4 lety +2

      I had a 3.7-3.8 in high school.
      Most important stat for me was having a good walk to strikeout ratio... on top of that- I guess you could say obp was the most important because I’m fast and that plays for my skill set.

    • @5Guyy
      @5Guyy  Před 4 lety

      no problem bro, you need to find a way any way to help your team win. That might just be working at a different position, earning the spot, or sometimes it's about waiting for your turn sometimes.
      One thing you can always do is outwork him, that is a choice everyone can make. Like you may not always be the most talented but you can always choose to have the hardest work ethic.

    • @5Guyy
      @5Guyy  Před 4 lety

      Tyler Wayman wrong, don’t listen to this contact them all.. Theres never a reason to not shoot for the stars. This is totally incorrect. Contact all schools and weigh your options.

      @tylerwayman4316 Před 4 lety

      @@5Guyy how is this wrong? Sure contact them all, that's fine. I never said to not contact the best schools. I'm just saying to not only contact d1 schools if you're not at that level. Contact schools you know you can play at. I've gotten this advice from several college players. Your advice is good, but you're not being 100 percent realistic for all guys that want to play college ball. Keyword being PLAY and not ride the bench or not make the team at all.

      I think a good mix of both! I think showing coaches you have the ability to develop into a college caliber player, and that you’re putting in the work for your program to accomplish those goals gives you the best chance.

    Any tips on getting faster?

    • @5Guyy
      @5Guyy  Před 4 lety +1

      Work on getting stronger first ! Many times just getting stronger from squats and box jumps will make you faster
      Once you have done that you can work on your technique by replicating the fastest sprinters in the world. One guy I like to watch is Andre de Grasse. If you have a track coach at your school ask him for some tips perhaps
