I purchase this and the Stalingrad set. Great boxes!
Once again....Battlefront has put out another awesome value starter set.
Your flames of war coverage is the main reason I got into the game great video as always
I never made flames of war before the tanks and infantry are cool like something you put together in a weekend.
The good thing is pretty much everything can be used for late war lists too. Just gotta build the extra 85mm turrets,
Got this and the Stalingrad set. A steal
Absolutely a great starter set … I purchased 2 … combined the Valentines with my British forces from 2 Tobruk sets to build up a decent British army … the T34s and Su85s are the foundation for my new army the Russians … the panzer 3s and 4s were added to my German army and I sold the 2 tigers and 4 Panthers on Facebook marketplace as I didn’t need them … like you said the points cost are so high you don’t need a lot of them
thank you for a great review😃
Great value
So I like Flames of war and bolt action because the vehicles are awesome but I don’t like the infantry models they just don’t pop for me in detail
There is other manufacturers making models in the same scale just look at 1/100 scale (or 15mm) for flames of war (hard to make detailed figures at that size) or 1/56 scale (28mm) for bolt action
Where does one get a paint guide for this?
I think in the Breifing(army) books it has painting guilds. also the FOW Website should have some help
This is a mid war box but it is all late war sprue.
Well the mid war for Germans covers 2 books Iron Cross and Ghost Panzers, For the Russians it covers Enemy at the Gates and Red Banner… Ghost Panzers and Red Banner begin the transition to Late War … however they still use Mid war points cost … so technically it is Mid war … late Mid war … Late War doesn’t have Mixed Panzer 3 Panzer 4 companies… And Enemy at the Gates doesn’t have SU-85s … this is the battle of Kursk … late Mid War … Ghost Panzers and Red Banner
i've never played Flames of war, but i love how... fair the prices are in comparison to games workshop
