I absolutely admire You for the insane amount of work put into this, while not getting that many views for it. You deserve so much more and I dont say that often to other ytbers
I know that it's easy to make worse a thing, but this kind of stop motions aren't stop motions anymore, these are movies with the quality of a high-caliber production
I always thought it would be far more complicated than moving things in the shot frame by frame, but this is another level of dedication. Props to you dude!
really think the effort of using stop motion for the turrets payed of. These tank explosions have way more weight to them, as befitting for a several ton heavy piece of metal flying through the air
the fucking craftmanship behind these videos never fail to baffle me. also the fact that everything is a one man operation - ideas, writing, building, animating, 3D modelling, compositing, sound design, rendering and all the other 2384717264 small jobs you have to do to make this product. Absolutely astonishing.
You are the most talented animator right now. I just hope you never end up switching completely into 3d animation and keep real bricks in the productions.
Nice to see another upload from my favorite animator! I think that you should make a Vietnam War film next. The helicopter scene that you made last year was awesome, it would be great to see a longer stop motion!
So fantastically well done, JD. Not only are you hugely creative and skilled as an animator, but your BTS explanations, including the quality of the narration, are first class.
I recently created a stop Motion film. It took me so much time but the amount of time that this looks like it takes. Holy smokes! Thanks for the vids. I hope to make videos like you one day.
Very highly detailed work , I am slowly getting ready to do something like this and really appreciate the efforts you took to explain your process. It's not easy at all to create something so pristine with very little light pollution and almost no shake. Incredible how solid the animation is.
Nice work. In the past when I’ve shot miniatures for stop motion I also used pieces of tape with a dot to help with motion tracking. It really does help.
Love your work I am a ww2 addict movies documentary’s and books but also grew up with pre-play set legos when you had to use your full imagination made and still display my submarine from then hope this helps the algorithm keep it up your fan and friend Brian b
o yeah! thanks for making this! I loved the video, but this just makes me appreciate the original so much more. could you release an unedited version of the one? I would really like that
My cousin was killed in action during the Gallipoli campaign on the 4th June 1915 at the 3rd battle of Krithia.. thanks and my great great uncle was at d day and the Caen p!
You deserve a Hollywood studio all to yourself given the level of your resourcefulness. Your industry is not only amazing, but inspirational in the way that all great artistic effort tends to be.
Legomation used to be something that anyone with patience could do. Now it has become a highly specialized skill involving digital special FX and requiring loads of expensive software. It's no longer an egalitarian thing.
small side note: whe a tank is shot the ammonition sometimes explodes in a great fireball. that is the thing lifting the tanks turret up into the air. so if you could add a greater fire animation comming out of the tanks hull next time it would greatly inprove the imersion. there are penty of videos that depict a tank being blown up just for reference as the ones you have agre good but the real life thing is WAY bigger. looking forward for the next mini film.
I was sitting here saying "he's GOTTA be using CGI in some of these scenes"..it'd be such a laborious task not to. It'd be so much easier and more practical to make 3D models of any physical models/parts for animating.. I watched the Bismarck video and immediately recognized that the water simulation was familiar..I also use Blender..seeing that UI in this video confirmed it all.. Your production is very well done and has given me inspiration for my own. I look forward to seeing more.
Absolutely phenomenal work sir. Both the video itself and the detail in these BTS. That being said I’d still love a build tutorial on that Flying Fort ;P anyways I can’t wait to see what you will do next.

which video editor do you use? The program in which you created the effect of flying parts is separate?
E rapazes esse cara é mito ele mito mano é mito bahhh cara não de Lego viu

He got 1.3 Million views on Battle of Caen, so luckily he‘s not one of these small but skllied channels
@@2x_man658 yea but previously he had a lot less
Yeah. I was concerned we wouldn't get another behind the scenes since the Galipoli video didn't get one
I'm skilled but not noticed 😢
@@redfoxlegionstopmotionstud7874you could do better ngl
It’s always impressive to see how you blend CGI and various techniques to make such incredible animations! Please keep animating!
Yeah like blender, CGI, and just normal stop motion.
I think so too
I know that it's easy to make worse a thing, but this kind of stop motions aren't stop motions anymore, these are movies with the quality of a high-caliber production
Your Behind the Scenes videos are always such a treat -- I love seeing your process for doing things
Yea
God bless you

This is stunning the amount of work and skill put into this
I’ve been waiting years for him to upload but unfortunately he Hasn’t and I love his content so much
you clearly put a lot of effort in this and this was amazing!

this is an absolute masterpiece i admire you're skills a lot!
Wow, this video was amazing! And it's nice to hear yourself explain it by yourself
By far one of, if not the best stop motion creators out there. Truly amazing work
I'm so jealous I used to dabble in some frame-by-frame as well as some still-life animation as a child but nothing on this scale or level wow awesome
You are the most talented animator right now. I just hope you never end up switching completely into 3d animation and keep real bricks in the productions.
You are the best stop motion animator I’ve ever seen keep up the good work!!
Nice to see another upload from my favorite animator! I think that you should make a Vietnam War film next. The helicopter scene that you made last year was awesome, it would be great to see a longer stop motion!
I loved the last video! It was my favorite! I think your so cool to make these, it probably takes a long time. Thanks for your hard work!
There’s something magic about how you combine LEGO stop motion and cgi, they work togheter perfectly!
Also, can you please upload a green screen of the explosion you used? I am really struggling while making a ww2 stop motion 😊
So fantastically well done, JD. Not only are you hugely creative and skilled as an animator, but your BTS explanations, including the quality of the narration, are first class.
I love yea explosions of the bombs and the rounds fired by the British and German armor! This is such a well done animation, great job!
I think my favorite shot is the Tiger I exploding. I wish I knew how, but that was heckin' amazing!
Another great one behind the scenes! Love that series :)

If we didn’t have you as a CZcamsr there will be a big hole in people’s hearts
That movie was literally the best stop motion movie I ever watched
Your editing is whole other level!! Impressive.
Your videos are so good we forget we’re watching Lego. And forget it’s stop motion. Keep it up. These videos are amazing.
This was interesting to watch I enjoyed seeing how everything was setup and done for the animation/vid
Looking forward to seeing more
I love the way that you make these behind the scenes videos so that we can see how they come together!!!!!
Man, this is the best animation that you have made!!! I really love your work, keep doing vídeos like this!!!
The amount of work you put into these is insane.
These vids you make are like actual movies! Can’t wait for more.
I just love how this guy works insanely hard to make these films insanely epic.
I loved it, especially because everything is made out of LEGO unlike some other animations use real life elements like grass, rocks or so...
Nice work. In the past when I’ve shot miniatures for stop motion I also used pieces of tape with a dot to help with motion tracking. It really does help.

I don't even consider Legos a children's toy. Legos is another level of imagination and creation ❤
epic video, i always love learning from your behind the scenes!
Bros making better war movies then Hollywood just by using a children’s toy💀

That's really cool 😀👍
Recently foundnyoyr channel and was wondering how were able to to create such large scale stop motions. Thanks for pulling back fhe curtain for us!
The quality of the team is very good.
