For my shame, I have just discovered this amazing Artist - Beegie Adair - and her Trio.

I had not heard of Beegie until 40 years ago on the Strand in Galveston TX . She has been a favorite snce!
And I discovered her in July 2020..... Sad it was late, but better late than never.

Beegie Adair, a fellow Kentuckian (Beegie is short for Bobbe Gorin, née Long)was born in 1937 in Barren County, Kentucky. She's still going strong at the age of 83. She is one of the numerous octogenarian and nonagenarian jazz musicians there have been. I think their longevity is due to the healing vibrations of the music. Since I believe in music therapy, I suggest you luxuriate in the healing vibrations for the next four and a half hours. No prescription required.

I love Beegie at 83 years I just discovered this one and only great talent about 4 years ago probably heard her on radio but had no clue who she was before that . If I’m playing golf , working in the yard or just taking my morning walk she is with me at all those events. I’m so thankful for this talented Lady who brings back great memories from the past with movie plus. Again I’m so thankful for her and her great talent. She is part of my daily life. She is in Heaven saying "Danny Boy, I left Beegie for you to remember what good playing and music is all about!"Beegie is so wonderful and makes my whole week just listening to her. I have to say, there is no FAVORITE when she plays. Every song is a must listen to.

Especially like the Hoagy Charmichael and Ellington collections, but also love Gershwin, Berlin and Rodgers. They're all wonderful and I listen to this album almost every day and Beegie helps keep my spirits UP. Thank you, Beegie!

I am just getting the news of Beegie's passing!. I am shocked send condolences to her family and friends. I 'discovered' her about 2 years ago, and in my book, she is one of the greatest pianists of all times. She left a legacy of wonderful music that I will listen to time and time again. Thanks Beige!
This is a favorite album of mine. I can listen to it all night -- and I have. She is really brilliant, such great touch, great sense for melody and motion -- she really honors these classics.
