I know this isn't the biggest concern of the case, but it just really warms my heart to see that both her mom and step-mom were on such good terms and working together to bring her home :')

If she was doing drugs, maybe she accidentally overdose and died the guys freaked out and hid her body instead of calling for help because they were scared of getting in trouble. That kind of thing happens way too often with people who use drugs unfortunately. I hope if someone knows anything they speak up so her family can find some peace! I can’t imagine what her family is going through.... breaks my heart. Praying they get some answers and find her!

They check wooded areas to see if she was there but she was never found. There no clues, evidence, or witness where she might be. All her parents have is handing out flyers and prayer for her.

she tells her mom everywhere she goes and does but she also goes to hangout in abandoned houses where her friends do drugs with much older men???? and her mom is like 'yes'??????? idk ive never heard of any parent like that
COCO i was thinking the same thing. Smh. Though I have had friends who’s parents are the same way it’s still odd parenting. What a shame.
im not trying to sound like an asshole but i lied to my mom about where i was my entire high school career and she never found out. i always told her something it just wasnt the truth, could be the same case here

Yea we were all 18 once. I’m 32 now and did plenty of crap in my teens my mom didn’t know about and we were close. I feel lucky I wasn’t in danger but for some, they don’t get so lucky. Parents do their best but we all know teens can lie.
Who let's their 18 year old hangout with a bum a** loser who is literally twice her age. This girl liked the wild crowd, liked partying and drugs. Realized she got it with those hombres so f*ck it. Didnt care they were dangerous. Again... she was an 18 year old gullible little girl. Play stupid games......
This case is so sad and hits home for me. My mom went missing from around the same area of kc mo around a month before Desirea in April 2017. Always praying for her family knowing what they’re going through.

Someone knows where she is or was. They just are not talking. They usually say if the person is not found within 48 hrs it’s not good

Human trafficking is very real. Older men and women usually prey on young girls when they seem vulnerable. I wouldnt be surprised if one of these older guys sold Desiree for drugs or other things. Hope she gets found
I am a human trafficking victim advocate and there is a huge chance this girl was trafficked.

I think there’s a high chance the guys did something but if not, a major highway runs through Kansas City and there’s a lot of human trafficking in kc so that could be another possibility
I've seen on the news about a couple of busts for sex rings

wow saw your comment and had to respond. I went to LMS (liberty middle school) with her and knew her mostly from Cheering and tumbling. such a sweet girl who ended up in such a wrong situation. stay strong!

To all the YOUNG GIRLS!!! OPEN YOUR eyes it’s not ok for a 18 year old to be hanging out with these type of older men. Things like this are bound to happen. Learn from others mistakes. I hope her family gets the peace they deserve.
I swear, some people don't see the signs.... I've been in situations where I def knew not to go down that alley. Why tf would her sister be ok with her being alone with a man twice her age? They make it too easy for these killer pedos.

Mom knew that she was going to abandoned houses n doing drugs, she apparently didn't do anything about it.
Sister knew she was going with this drug addicts, apparently she didn't do anything either.

3 hours ago there was an update posted in the Facebook group: “I can’t even make this stuff up. Day 3, in a row, of phone calls and messages to different Sheriffs Departments and KCPD.
I have already called this one and they are pulling Desi’s info as we speak. The Sergeant I talked to was the nicest lady ever. She has sent everything over to where the remains are and I will be getting a call in the morning from whoever to try and rule her out.
This one IS skeletal remains and it’s close to where Jason Keegan’s dad lives. And yes, before I get a ton of messages, we have tried to talk to all of them. They won’t talk. The end. Please no advice on that, not sure I can take it tonight, I may blow. 3 bodies in 3 days. You try to live your life and juggle this.

I love how you give background to the victims before you start as it really makes sure you know this is a real person instead of just a story. Makes me think about how someone would describe me if I went missing.
I love watching these videos especially because not only are they entertaining but you learn so much from them. Also your voice so very calming so I can watch these while I’m drawing, cleaning, or cooking and it just calms me.

I’m from the Kansas City area and the places her phone was located are very bad areas and there could have been a lot more that happened that we don’t even know about.
Savannah, can you pleaseeeeee cover the case of Sushant Singh Rajput. He was a Bollywood actor who mysteriously died. The police and media claimed that he committed suicide, and all the evidence contradicts that. It's still ongoing, but if you did a video, it would raise so much awareness and stop the corrupt police officers and politicians from shutting it.

Just letting you guys know, I graduated from LHS in 2019, and went to school with her. Truth is she got involved with some shady people, and went missing after she went downtown (in KC) with the man you mention. 3 skeletal remains have been found in Kansas and she may be one of those found we will find out for sure tomorrow. After she left the high school, she transferred to the Academy, which is for people struggling to stay out of trouble, or struggle academically. After she left the academy, she got heavily involved in drugs and other not so great things.

This case would be solved if someone would speak up. Someone knows exactly what happened and exactly who did this.

Thank you so much for covering this case! I see her siblings driving around Kearney and liberty all the time with her missing poster on the side or back of the cars. There are so many rumors about what happened to her it breaks my heart.
Dang this case sounds so frustrating I definitely think someone knows something there just not talking I really hope they can find her I couldn’t imagine some family going missing!🙈

I have a feeling Desirea texted Jason because she was in trouble or felt uncomfortable but by the time he got there something had happened. It could’ve been an OD or something intentional but either way I think both men know what happened.

I dont know, I can imagine these much older men convincing a sweet girl that at 18 she is way too old to become a model and she gets depressed and they help lift her spirits with drugs to get her hooked...
I hope they talk and tell the truth so her family can have some peace and closure!
The fact that 18 is considered “too old” is more than alarming.
It's more like someone to tell her she's too short, not too old.
When I was 25 I got told I was too old to be a stripper 😂 most men like teens unfortunately
Okay so here are my theories: Mark probably knows more than he’s saying, but I don’t think he killed her intentionally or at all. Mostly because IF he really did talk to her for hours in a parking lot like he said, he probably did like her. Even though that makes me uncomfortable. Not only that but he was with her and her sister just before, and so if it was planned it wouldn’t make sense, but things do happen so it can’t be ruled out. It could also be an accidental overdose with either of them. Especially because Jason was involved with meth. As soon as I heard that, I could see him freaking out if she overdosed and hiding the body. Especially because of how old he is compared to her, and what he was dealing/involved with. Another theory is Jason really did drop her off, but maybe to meet an unknown third party, or Jason told her he had connections to get her into modeling. If he dropped her off she also could’ve been a victim of chance. I don’t think he dropped her off though, just because that part of the story seems kinda sketchy. Jason definitely knows what happened though.
I think the story will definitely come out and this will be solved. There are enough players involved plus they know the areas she was at most of the night. I agree she either overdosed and died and they freaked out and hid her body or that guy who just dropped her off on some corner and not at a house doesn’t sound right. A lot of this sounds fishy and l think the cops are on it.....hopefully!

I grew up in the neighborhood you're talking about there's actually two parts of its Marlboro and Marlboro Heights and actually marble Heights has little bit better class of people and the whole thing doesn't make sense to me because if she was such this good sweet girl there's no way she you would have been with the people she was with and the area she was with everybody in Kansas City knows what's up in that neighborhood and it said that the city's let it go so bad too that there's no grocery stores or anything near that area now. There's a lot of dope heads mainly meth and a lot of snitches and I'm sure somebody's told on somebody over this I hope that they find her I hope her mom gets closure in her family and for the device watch exactly what your kids do and who they are with appearances can be deceiving

We deff have highway cams idk if they knew the plate number on the truck first an second a lot of the movement was at night so itd be harder

Born and raised in KCMO. Dropping your child off on Van Brunt blvd is actually the dumbest thing you could do 🤦🏽♀️ hindsight will always be 20/20 though

With her phone when it pings it might give the battery power so if it wasn't on 0% they know it was turned off. With my fitbit they receive my battery power info, when I was having problems they were able to see on their end that it went from 100% to 0% in one day.
