Isn't it in the very nature of civilizations to fade away one day? In the middle of an ocean of misery, struggles and cruelty, small islands of imperfection sometimes emerge, because only utopia is perfect.
In these temporal islands, art, social and political organization elevate human society to a level of splendor and delight unparalleled.
Let's take for example Athens between the Persian wars and the war against Sparta, the Roman Empire from Trajan to Marcus Aurelius, or the Mayan cities of the great classical era. There is no golden age, neither in the past nor in the future.
However, for a brief moment between two endless nights, humanity manages to regain a precarious balance, a dazzling exception in a dark story.
Let's listen to the words of a poet, Miguel Angel Asturias, proud of his Mayan heritage:
“No one returned from the green world where, among the deer and the blue peacocks, rose the ceremonial cities, cosmic and frozen cities - the challenge of the building peoples. »
These peoples belonged to other horizons, living as if centuries did not exist. A race that counted the days like diamonds and believed in its gods, in its rites, in its smoke and its dreams, in its calendar stones, in music and wisdom.
In short, everything that five centuries of devastation, exploitation and forgetting have not succeeded in completely destroying.
What remains of these cultures? Of their system of measuring time, of their divinities? Their music, their songs and their dances, their way of working the land? Dear explorer friends, hello and welcome to this second part of the documentary on the mysterious Mayan civilization. In the first part, we reviewed the discovery of this people, the history and the habits of life. In this new documentary, we will explore their spirituality, their science as well as the decadence of this civilization which left us an incredible heritage, not completely understood until now.

La première publication m'avait conquis, la seconde intensifie tt cela.
C'est là encore un travail TITANESQUE pour condenser une si grande Civilisation.
Dans les 2 publications vous auriez pu proposer de multiples sous parties.
Moi cela ne m'aurait en rien déranger, j'adore votre travail.
C'est rageant que les "CON-QUISTADORS" est brûlé tant de choses pour effacer l'historique de cette partie du monde.
Le jour où nous pourrons traduire les écrits hiéroglyphiques restant, on risque d'avoir de grandes surprises. Puisse leurs D.IEUX nous donner un p'tit coup de pouce.

Je verrais bien la musique d'arrière-fond un peu plus présente.
Généralement, je regarde cette chaîne pour m'endormir. Ouais plus d'ambiance sonore, ça serait parfait.
