I met him a couple times but maybe it takes me back to that era? I was 19 when he passed and I had been following them for years at that point so maybe it brings back memories of those days and being a young punk kid going to shows with my friends. Like most famous drummers, he endorsed Sabian and used their cymbals live and in videos. In the studio, he used a variety of different cymbal brands. He didn’t endorse Sabian until a few years after this show.

He seemed to switch to Sabian only live. Even the footage of him recording in the later years he had Zildjian cymbals in the studio
