Hi Jerry I could use your Help. I see the Johnson Jacket your Wearing. I know they still make leather jackets. I looking for the Thickest or Heaviest leather. In your experience is the Heaviest Leather available to make a leather jacket is 2.0 mm in Cowhide?
Hey, can you tell me how a jacket should fit? Im confused if I should buy a new leather jacket tight and it will stretch and by how much or just buy a leather jacket that is already comfortable? What is the criteria for buying a new jacket as regards to sizing? thanks.
gypsykatcher30 buy a leather jacket that is comfortable. The heavy leathers will not stretch, like the heavy horsehide jackets you see me wearing on these videos. This Johnson is a nice weight of leather, a little too big for me. It has been sold.
Thanks for your advice. Its tricky to know the sizing because of the stretch factor and the different types of leather and how they break in and age etc. I dont own any horsehides yet, but its on my to do list for sure.
Timmy21Spurs the test is 4.5 oz leather, very heavy. This Johnson jacket is very light leather, but very comfortable. I sold it feeling it was too big.
Looks good on you

That Johnson Jacket was not heavy weight leather. Try Lost Worlds if you want the heaviest weight jacket.
