Such a fun mower. Couple of tips... your feet are in the wrong position. Easiest way to crush your toes when you mow with feet in the middle. Also try pushing the tall stuff down with your deck up high, once in there lower the deck to get the cut

Those bushes can be pulled out by the roots when small but only you Ventrac or a tractor can cut them when they get that big. Great job there,

Great job Cameron! Did a similar one last fall..3/4 of the way thru it ran over a hornets nest…they DON’T like mowers! Got stung a dozen times in like 2 seconds! Now I keep Benadryl in the side compartment.
Oh wow! That’s awful. I’ve always been Leary of entering into the unknown. I’ve been attacked by hornets while on the mower too many times. Surprised I haven’t been stung while on the Ventrac. Ouch! I got stung once today when I was clearing brush on the Ventrac. I know better but was wearing shorts and it got me on the leg :)

For what you had to work with it did a good job. Now you need to get the flail more that ven- track came out with.! Call them up and see if you can do a re- view on one so you can can pear.!
I’ve been trying to get a Flail mower demo, but can’t get anyone from Ventrac to help me out. No dealers around here are willing to let me demo one. Appreciate you taking the time to watch!

This is what I've been looking for someone to do a video in this kind of area I'm sold, no need to spend that much money on a skids steer this makes more of a better deal for me for my 20 acres. Thanks
Absolutely! The only reason I would choose a skid steer over the Ventrac is if you were wanting to lift a lot of weight and lift it really high. What attachments would you like for your 20 acres????
Honestly sounds like the wrong machine for twenty acres. Just buy a regular tractor

The toughcut has to be one of the prime attachments Ventrac has for that mower. I know Tim of TTWT has one of these with his (even though he runs a diesel 4500.) That was a fierce project for everything. Good to see the rock didn't do anything.
The Tough Cut really is unbelievable! That grown up mess took me 45 mins to knock down. I’ve hit several things on accident, but it hasn’t even damage the attachment. Pretty solid deck! Appreciate you taking the time to watch. 👍
Impressive! I was just in some brush today with my Ventrac that was along the same liness. Brush/thorns were about 1/3 the height but I had a LOT more of the trees that were 2-4' taller than the ROPS on the Ventrac :)

Can I make a suggestion, start at one end and take small swipes as you go from side to side,have done so many times in cutting tall or mixed brush and it works much better than driving into it headon.
One of the reasons I cut it the way I did was so that I could get a good video out of it. Appreciate you taking time to watch!

I had an old John deer f 710 that came with a front mount deck that would raise up to about 30 inches if I remember correctly. It was a slightly heavy grass cutting monster .

That Ventrac machine may be the toughest mower I've seen. What is the tough cut? Is it one in the same or and different blades or ? Good job!
It’s one TOUGH machine! The Tough Cut deck is designed to tackle thick overgrown grass, small saplings, vines, and brush. It has 3 heavy duty blades under the deck that are ready to tackle the tough stuff! Appreciate you watching! More vids coming...

I'm amazed every single time I finish a job with this machine. It's crazy what it can tackle! When I got this machine, they gave me a product called TyrFill from the Carlisle company. GREAT PRODUCT! Personally, I think this kind of brushwood and undergrowth is too much for the Ventrac and not designed for it. So it probably won't last long doing it. For clearing land like that, I use my small farm tractor with a front loader and put the bucket on it fitted with the 3 feet spikes. I lower the bucket with the spikes to just above ground level and drive into the brushwood then lift it up on the hydraulics, ripping out the brambles and sapling roots, then tip it onto a bonfire. That way it doesn't grow back again for at least 5 years. So, I can just cut it with a normal flail mower in between times if I get around to it.
Not a bad idea at all! I could take the bucket/grapple and tear it up a little bit. But this job in particular was easy for the Tough Cut. Took about 45 mins to knock it all out. I’m like you though, pulling it up by the roots and burning it would be a great option to keep it from coming back quickly. Thanks for watching and sharing your tips!

Extremely tough job, Ventrac was able to take care of it, but with struggles.. I wonder if a mulcher mounted on a skid steer would not have been a better application.
I wouldn't have passed up a skid steer with closed cab and a mulcher on the front! It only took about 45 mins with the Ventrac though. Just had to be careful with the tall thorns hanging over. Somehow I didn't get cut up, but knew I was going to. Thanks for watching!

The VENTRAC is a beast. This project was grueling for man and equipment!
Some clients bicker about the prices a contractor must charge. If cleaning an area such as this was easy to accomplish, property owners would not need to hire it done!
Thanks for watching! This was a FUN one for the VENTRAC. Ate right through it in no time. Definitely makes work super easy and the customer is usually impressed with how efficient it is.
It does a very nice job. I wonder how much that 4500 with the attachments cost does a beautiful job. Keep up the good work. God bless.
A forestry mulched would have been a better choice for this job. Faster and wouldn’t leave the tangle of matted down vines on the ground that the Ventrac left behind.
Still it was impressive that the Ventrac could even get through that tangle of briars and small brush.
The Ventrac Tough Cut lives for these types of jobs. Always impressed how it just slices right through the briars and small brush. I wouldn’t mind having a cab though lol. Constantly have to ease into it and try not to get cut up by the briars. This job took 45 mins…in and out without tearing up the ground beneath.
Ventrac need to come up with brush guides for cutting tall stuff like that that mount above the casters angle up and away from the cutting deck so it forces the brush down into it instead of just going under the brush
Not a bad idea! Feed that Tough Cut even more while protecting the operator from really overgrown thorn bushes, etc. I like it! May be able to make something like that to fit on the tough cut deck. It wouldn’t take much.

That machine did a good job, but I felt like you needed it to be able to lift up about a metre, then you could attack the thorn bushes from the top and drop it down on them. They were nasty dam things
I wonder how many times I'd have been stuck by thorns doing that job with the Altoz?. Maybe none. Maybe a lot. I hope not to find out
