I totally agree Melanie, Watch and Learn was how it was done. That's why I don't include an ingredient list, got to pat attention! Become a Member Of "Cooking With The Blues" www.patreon.com/CookingWithTheBlues?fan_landing=true
Technically, those over-ripe spots are by far the healthiest “time” to eat them. Those dark spots are high in TNF, and the bananas antioxidants also increase in potency as the ripeness goes up! Bananas Foster for health!
Bless you Jack soon as I saw this I made one its fantastic Totally delicious Burnt the 1st one but ate it anyway.. i use honey in place of sugar.....this is the pudding I've been looking for all my life ... soooo good
@@chaplinsrestaurant it's great because it's so simple - so slap it in the oven and like in 15 min perfect pudding without the fuss of making a cake etc . It's sonderful with honey and a little orange peel as well ! (Yeah I know it's weird I like the peel )
This looks so good and I'm sure it was delish. More videos. I watch your videos everyday and enjoy each and everyone. could you please post the basic bread pudding recipe?
Went to Foxwoods by ferry from Long Island yesterday...... they pull into New London.Wanted to go to your place to eat and say hello; Had to get directly onto bus to casino. Next time I take my own van on the ferry my wife and I will stop in and chow down !!!!! Love the vids ....
I'm learning so much from the way you cook. I've done the Italian gravy omg great. now I have to try the bread pudding. the way you cook is so simple but full I mean packed full of flavor. ty jack
@@dougjohnson5413 The bread pudding is wonderful. I used some nice chewy semolina rolls from the local Portuguese bakery and they were perfect for this. I made this in a non stick casserole dish with the bananas in a layer on the bottomand it came out great. A couple tips: Cut the bananas into slices at least 3/4'' think. If you slice them any thinner, they will turn to mush during the cooking process. You may need a little extra liquid for the bread than what it appears in the video. Adding some brandy to both the banana mixture and also the liquid made it tastier. Lastly, adding some nutmeg and allspice helped draw out the flavor. This is great for a Sunday dessert and the leftovers divine for breakfast !!
I think Daddy Jack would have layered the walnuts on the bottom before adding the caramelized bananas had he not been rushed with restaurant service. Only Daddy Jack would know
