  • How I sculpted the hands & feet for my poseable Gnome art doll. The hands have a wire finger armature for strength. I use Super Sculpey beige. Make sure you makes holes for the arm and leg armature wire to go into the finished hands and feet before you bake (I didn't show this end step)
I have the gnome template available in my Etsy shop as a digital download: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/90128...

Thank you, I think I possibly used all genesis on him from what I remember. Generally genesis is great for blending skin tones etc and acrylics are great for bold colours and sharper lines. I have a painting the face vid coming soon x

Can I place a figure in the oven lying down? Is there a risk of it becoming deformed?
If so, does someone know how to prevent it from deforming?

Support any areas that you may think would need it. I have a fibre glass wool that's used for ceramics so is fine in the oven.

I bake in separate oven and never breathe any fumes just to be safe. The temp is fairly low and the wire is inside the clay.
